Mongibello Palace B&B

We had such a lovely stay at Mongibello Palace B&B! It has a prime location, right next to the beach and great restaurants (4 min walk). The team were incredibly kind, helpful, and always smiling, making us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. Giulio, the owner, greeted us on arrival and took the time to explain everything we needed to know (from local restaurants to must-see monuments and the best places to visit) making sure we felt completely settled and knew our way around straight away.
The breakfasts were absolutely delicious every morning! We especially loved Daniele’s scrambled eggs with ham & cheese and Rosario’s sunny side up eggs, they were the best! They were also always happy to help us with whatever we needed, whenever we needed it.
The rooftop terrace has a breathtaking view, and having a coffee there every morning was the highlight of my day. We also loved being able to enjoy the lemons from their tree in our tea (such a special touch! )
They truly made mine and my mum’s stay so happy and comfortable. We would highly recommend staying here.

The hotel is situated at the silent street, near the restaurants and sea.

WHAT AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE from start to finish! Giulio was a FANTASTIC HOST, so responsive when we had questions and provided many great recommendations. Breakfast was divine as pictured below we had fresh croissants every morning (my favorite! ) and various other options! The room was super clean and spacious and the location was absolutely fantastic just a short walk to the beach! He also offers a beautiful terrace with spectacular views. I highly recommend anyone stay here and I will most definitely be back. 5 stars is definitely not enough here! Thank you again!

This was my second time staying at this BnB in Mondello, and my visit was even better than the first—which I didn’t think could be possible. This was a last-minute booking due to an unexpected change of plans, but Giulio went above and beyond to help and accommodate us. His customer service is exceptional; he is always so kind, attentive, and willing to help.
Giulio truly exceeded expectations as a host and made my friend and me feel like family. His BnB offers spotless rooms, a spacious common area, and beautiful outdoor terraces on both the main and top floors for all guests to enjoy. Breakfast is fresh daily with plenty of options, including Rosario’s 5 star scrambled eggs. Rosario, Daniele, and Giulio together made my second visit to Mondello even more memorable than I could have hoped for.
Hosts can have a positive or negative impact on your experience in a town, but these three gentlemen embody everything one could hope for when booking a stay. They turned a very stressful situation into a positive experience, and we couldn’t be more grateful for their hospitality.
Giulio, thank you endlessly for treating Megan and me not only as friends, but as family. The personal experience you provide is a true testament to why, eight years after my first visit, your BnB is still so exceptional. We really enjoyed our stay! The hosts know the area extremely well and gave us amazing recommendations for restaurants, parties, beaches and beach clubs. They even made phone calls for us to reserve something as many location were very busy in August on short notice. The location is ideal and the rooftop view is absolutely beautiful. The house is a bit sound-sensitive, but that didn’t bother us at all. Overall, a great experience with wonderful hosts – thank you!

This was my second time staying at Mongibello BnB. The rooms are clean and spacious with a nice size balcony. The location is fantastic as it is within walking distance to the beach, great restaurants, supermarket nearby and the bus stop to Palermo central is conveniently down the block. The owner Giulio is super helpful and goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is comfortable and is always available to respond to questions.
Rosario is also great and gave excellent food recommendations. The rooftop views are unreal and nice to enjoy over a nice bottle of wine as the sun is setting! I would stay here again if I return to Mondello!

Comfortable beds, enjoyable stay and great service, the staff were always friendly and attentive <3 The room was spotless and had a cozy atmosphere. The staff were incredibly helpful and made us feel welcome. Breakfast was fresh and delicious, with plenty of variety. The location was perfect, close to all the main attractions.

Our first time in Sicily with my fiancé was like a fairytale, and the amazing experience started with Mongibello and the staff to be precise. Before we even took our flight Giulio contacted us about our check-in and our arrival. He arranged a driver for us Fabio, who is a super cool guy, helped with our luggage and it was cheaper than a taxi. When we arrived Rosario showed our room, but before that he sat down with us and we talked about what to do in Mondello! He gave us restaurant recommendations, a little where to go and what to do. That happened every morning! The next day he gave us a quick rundown about Palermo too. We basically didn't have to plan anything as he always helped to arrange our day. That is the best way to avoid tourist traps and to soak in the local culture truly. Both Giulio and Rosario are amazing! They are really taking care of the place, getting fresh pastries and bread for breakfast every morning! We didn't try but we saw that Rosario also makes mean omelettes so give it a go! The rooms are nice and new, with your own balcony to chill and on the roof you can see the sunrise over the sandy beach of Mondello. It is a spectacular experience mostly because we didn't feel like we were in a sterile hotel environment but felt like joining a local family for a few days. They are making sure you are safe, you have their contacts in case you have any issues, Rosario even had time to play chess with us! (And he beat me badly.

As much as I hate to leave a bad review and very rarely do, there’s lot that would need to change for this place to be decent. In the spirit of helping others making an informed decision before spending their €€, here was my experience:
— My toilet was dirty (! ) when I checked in and the floor as well. Full of sand. Staff came to clean in but wasn’t a great start!
— Common areas aren’t kept clean either… sticky surfaces, traces of fingers everywhere. The communal kitchen table hasn’t been wiped a single time in the 3 days I spent there. It’s giving hostel vibes 🤢
— Mattress is low quality and uncomfortable.
— The check in process is uncessary long and detailed.
— Poor isolation, you can hear people coming in and one of the structure in the middle of the night.
— To top it all up, there was a water cut on my last day for a few hours.
I wish the two men who run this place would take care of the basics rather than trying to make up for the many lacks of their structure with long monologues and tips about the area. At the end of the day, if a B&B isn’t clean and comfortable, the rest doesn’t really matter.

What a great find! Loved this BnB right in the heart of Modello Beach! A very short walk down to the beach and all the restaurants. Near to a bus stop which has a free route available that we learned from our hosts, Rosario & Giulio, who were full of information about the area. The coffee and breakfast in the kitchen was a nice touch in the morning. The place looked like it’s been recently renovated and it’s more modern now. AC and Wi-Fi worked fine, it was very comfortable. And the rooftop terrace was a lovely surprise! Great views! We would happily stay here again and recommend to friends. Grazie mille.

The owners were very kind, welcoming and friendly, and they were a particular highlight of our stay! Breakfast croissants were very fresh and good! I am not used to the style of toilets where you can’t flush toilet paper, so that was a bit challenging, but it’s due to the building’s structure, so it can’t be helped. The bus stop, the sea, and the supermarket were all within walking distance and very close, making the location excellent! Highly recommended :)

We've had an amazing time at Mongibello! Beautiful rooms and nice view from the balcony. A good breakfast was included. Great value for money! The owner Julio is always helpful for any questions or requests. I highly recommend it:)

Best location ever! Everything was close: bus stop, grocery store, restaurants, and mondello were all in walking distance. The service was impeccable, Giulio and Rosario are a dream team and they were always present for any problems. The rooms were always cleaned perfectly and smelled great. They gave us towels for the beach and made us feel like we’re were home. Also right when we checked in they made us a nice Italian express and showed us on maps everything we needed to know about palermo and mondello! 10/10 I highly recommended this structure the rooms are also all new.
