We have just returned from our trip to Sicily and for our final and second week chose to stay at Garibaldi guesthouse.
We originally booked this on the basis that it had a pool as we were travelling with our 9 month old son and wanted a pool to cool off and the pool itself is really clean and in a lovely setting.
The hosts Francesca and Franco are very welcoming and accomodating, and provided us with a high chair and travel cot for our son. You get use of the kitchen and its amenities during your stay which came in very helpful when sterilising/cleaning bottles and preparing food/snacks for our little one! and the washing machine was very handy. The week we were there, we were the only guests so had free reign of the b&b which was really nice and the place definately felt like home. There was also a lovely house keeper that came a few time during our stay, unfortunately I have forgotten her name! But she was helpful in pointing us in the right direction to a pharmacy where we could buy baby formula and food.
The guest house is beautifully decorated with lovely antique style furniture and décor, and is immaculately clean.
Location was ideal, in the historical centre with bars, cafes and restuarants just feet away and only a few yards away from the main piazza. Francesca and Franco will advise on best place to park — as traffic/parking is not permitted in the historical centre. We parked in a free car park about a 5min walk away, which we were happy with.
