This B and B was excellent. Our room was clean, comfortable and spacious and the breakfast was continental but very adequate. Garden furniture was at our disposal which was ideal for an afternoon drink.
The location was exceptional, a mere 5 minute walk to a number of restaurants and a short drive to the beach and the not-to-be-missed Valley of the Temples.
Our host, Massimo, was very hospitable and, although his English (and that of his wife) was limited, this was overcome with Google Translator as well as their young son Marco.
Mention must also be made of Massimo being a life saver when a flat tyre on our vehicle needed repair. Nothing was too much trouble in order to get us mobile again.
As with many such cities in Europe, getting a park close to the accommodation can prove tricky, although Massimo assisted here as well.
We would highly recommend this establishment to anyone wishing to visit Agrigento.
We had a FANTASTIC time at the IL MELOGRANO ANTICO B&B, thanks to our Massimo, our incredible host! The room was very comfortable and clean, the buffet breakfast was amazing and the outdoor area was very green and lush! Turns out, half way to Piazza Armerina, we discovered that my sister left her watch behind and I had left my cell phone behind! None of us had access to Wi-Fi and so we had to drive all the way back to the B&B, where Massimo was waiting for us. He had both the watch and my phone in hand and kissed us both for being able to return our personal items to us. He was wonderful and so was our short stay.
