B&B Liolà

The B&B is situated in a very nice part of town, with parking and walkable attractions right next to it. The room was clean, very cosy and filled with lots of detail (we got postcards and some traditional house wine to taste). The bathroom was in the room and was very well equipped with everything one needs.
The highlight however were the hosts. We never before encountered such hospitality, they went above and beyond to make our stay great and to make us experience Agrigento! We got to pick options for our breakfast, they bought fresh local foods and sweets (Mignolate! ). The breakfast was much more than expected and I cant recommend this establishment enough!

We stayed only one night and it was a charming experience👌. The accomodation is in the old city centre right accros the cathedral. The rooms are clean, big enough, stylish equipped and with the view on the old narrows streets from the balcony. After warm welcome by our host Alfonso he gave us many hints what to see and where to eat in Agrigento. The breakfast was really amazing — the best one we had during our whole stay in Sicily. In overall it was a pleasure to stay here. When we come again to Agrigento it's a clear choise where to accomodate. Highly recommended 🙂

We loved everything about it! The tasteful decoration of the rooms, which were super clean and cosy! The delicious traditional Sicilian breakfast, which we considered the best breakfast we ever had! The beautiful old town with the cathedral right in front of the house and many beautiful churches and delicious restaurants nearby. But most of all, we loved your warmth and your friendliness towards us and everything you told us about family values and how important kindness is. Thanks for all the help that you offered with organizing our daily trips to the Valley of Temples, Scale dei Turqui and Cacamo! My husband and three adult children stayed at the B&B. They have three rooms so we basically had the entire place to ourselves. Immediately upon check in, Alfonso, the proprietor, told us to enjoy the home as if it were our own. He asked us to make our selections for breakfast the next morning — choices included fresh sweet and savory pastries, fresh salumi, fruits, eggs, and breads. They basically go out each morning and freshly procure whatever you order. Breakfast is served in the delightful dining area downstairs by his wife Pina, who was the perfect hostess and a pleasure to chat with each morning. She also told us to make ourselves at home and enjoy whatever we needed from the fridge including fresh fruit, juices and bottled water. Each room is beautifully appointed and includes a bottle of marsala to enjoy. Both Alfonso and Pina were quite helpful and knowledgeable about Agrigento and the surrounding area. The location is directly across the Duomo so you must drive or walk down the winding stairs to Via Atenea. We regularly walked to town but one night decided to avoid the long climb back and took a quick cab. Would definitely recommend!

Great place to stay in Agrigento. Alfonso and his wife hosted us (two couples from Poland) very warm and prepared the best brekfeast in Sicily we could expect. The both rooms we slept were very nice and cute (one blue and second yellow). We strongly recommend to stay at Alfonso’s house while visiting Agrigento city.

The host Alfonso is a gem of a person. Breakfast is incredible — fresh fruit, yogurt, juice, cereal, and freshly baked pastries that him and his wife buy every morning. He is passionate about hosting people and gives great local recommendations. Location is fantastic and free parking was easy to find thanks to his help. We wish we had stayed longer but will likely be back in the future!

Alfonso and Pinuccia made us feel like we were staying with family. I will be back and next time it will be for multiple nights.

The warmest welcome I ever received was from Alfonso. Spotless clean during Covid and with sanitizers. B&B faces the the side entrance of the Duomo, free parking in the white lines outside. Room was typical Sicilian but not old fashioned and with quality linen and furniture. The bed was firm and I slept like a baby and I have a bad back. Welcome drink on arrival very nice touch. Great recommendations from Alfonso. Best breakfast ever, fresh bread rolls, fresh pastries and fresh local Sicilian foods. Hosts insisted we take breakfast food for lunch. The location is superb, we drove directly there with sat nav with Alfonso (I love this man) standing on the street awaiting our arrival. Tere & Mere great recommendation for dinner only 5 minute walk. The area is beautiful, narrow cobbled streets with altars and clothes washing in the streets. A photographers dream. I wished we stayed longer but we were heading to Valley if the Temples and onwards. Also visited the duomo and stunning theatre.

Alphonso was so welcoming. Rooms were nice sized, the bed comfortable, shower quite spacious by Italian standards, breakfast was amazing and we easily found on street parking in front. Our hosts were so gracious, having some sweet Marsala wine in our room to welcome us and offering us the breakfast leftovers for a picnic lunch. You will be very happy staying here.

What an incredible B&B Our room was so beautiful, could not ask for anything more. Very bright, clean, balcony and perfect bathroom. A stunning breakfast room and the most generous breakfast. Parking at the front door is an added luxury. We only stayed one night but we will return on our next trip to Sicily. My husband and I highly recommend B&B Liola Thankyou Alphonse and Josephine for making our stay so special.
