B&B Palazzo Bibirria

We had a lovely time at this B&B — Brunella, the host, was very helpful and friendly. Our room was spacious and clean. It is well located for exploring Agrigento and the surrounding area, though keep in mind that it is an old, hilly city which can make driving a bit challenging…

Brunella, the owner, is a delight. She helped plan our stay with great local knowledge. Our room was excellent and the location, apart from the hill, is perfect for wandering into town for the day or evening. Parking is great — a real plus — for any town in the area. We stayed at an expensive hotel in Catania before staying here — and Brunella’s breakfast is much better! We had such a lovely time and used it as a centre to tour the region.

Brunella was amazing host and always there to accommodate us. Even though she has a bad back she offered to help us with our luggage. We had the second floor of what we thought was going to be a room. Instead, it was a beautiful two bedroom suite beautifully furnished, very clean and very comfortable. The heat worked perfectly in keeping us nice and warm. There was no refrigerator in the room but ample space in the large deco style refrigerator in the main room on the first floor where a very nice breakfast was served. The B&B is up the hill out of the main area of town and very nice and quiet. If you are not a walker you can take an inexpensive taxi into town. Up the hill near the Cathedral is a small bakery with a grouchy looking man behind the counter, however, their seasame seed cookies are fabulous and reminded me of the cookies I had many years ago when I was growing up in Bensonhurst Brooklyn. I definitely would consider staying and the B&B Palazzo Bibirria if I returned to Agrigento.
