Hotel Regina Simius

Location: Villasimius is a perfect location to explore the surrounding beaches, hikes — and even a trip to Cagliari. The hotel in the village is close enough to the main street, restaurants, shops, the saturday market etc — all in walking distance.
Hotel: The building is an open complex with an inner yard that serves as outdoor breakfast room — but also connects to an indoor breakfast room. Nicely decorated.
The room: Very big! Clean! Wonderful big balcony.
The breakfast: One selects upon arrival a set of wishes (croissant, ham/cheese/eggs, cakes etc) and then there is also a buffet with yoghurt, bread, cereals, milk, juices and water.
The staff: Very friendly!
The price: We were shoulder-season there (Oct) which gives a lower price (~80 Euro/night). Then it was a good deal. With a higher price I am not sure.
The bed was two beds moved together — which you can always feel. Besides the mattresses were a bit uncomfortable. Though the room and the balcony were very big — it does not bring enough fresh air in — unless the window is slide open — but then there is noise starting around 7am (at least in off-season).

This is a real gem of a hotel in the heart of Villasimius! Extremely friendly and welcoming staff, very spacious, clean and comfortable rooms, private parking (reservation needed), located just a short walk from the Main Street of Villasimius with all it's restaurants, bars and shops. The breakfast was great and offers a large variety of delicious stuff. What made the place really nice were the super nice owners and hosts Rosabla and Enrico as well as the receptionist Barbara who make your stay like at home! We will definitely stay again at HRS during our next visit to Villasimius! Gracie mille per tutto!

Staff was very nice and friendly. Room clean. What is annoying is the process around breakfast-you arrive tired and you are asked to complete a form (in Italien language! ) to select what you want next day for breakfast. And it is not clear if you opt for one piece or portion for one person (outcome: when you write 1 ham-you will get literarly 1 slice of ham). I can see the point around not wasting food but the price for accommodation is at level where you would not expect such limitations. This process is odd/not standard.
Plus price should be fully clear when making booking (taxes included).

Very professional staff of nice and hospitable people provided us with a warm welcome late in the night due to the rescheduling of our flight to Cagliari.
The hotel has a brilliant design that perfectly matches the traditional and modern architecture of this pleasant town — Villasimius. Our triple room with enough space for our family was one of the cleanest rooms we have been accommodated in all over the world.
Alexandra served tasty and abundant breakfast on our table in the pleasant patio every morning.
Oh, and the beaches… Porto Giunco probably is the most beautiful beach in Europe!
You should climb the hill above it to the old tower through a real savanna path (20 min. From the open parking which costs 5 Euro) for a panoramic view that you deserve and will never forget. Photos from this point often can be seen in books and brochures about Sardinia.

We selected Regina Simius based on its reviews, price, and location. This hotel is a total gem. While just two blocks or five minutes walk removed from the center of Villasimius, you have a peaceful base from which to explore the town and entire region — all while getting a restful sleep.
Enrico, Rosalba & Barbara were the most wonderful hosts. They really made us feel special during our visit and their staff was great, too. Rosalba was there to help us with our late arrival and our many belongings for a family of five travelers.
Parking is available underground (at a cost and based on availability), but a dirt lot is free of charge around the corner. Having a vehicle is a must if you wish to explore the beaches and the region.
My only critique would go to the breakfast. We stayed for five wonderful nights. However, after day three the repetition of the breakfast items became a bit tired.
Rooms are spacious, air conditioned, nicely furnished, and super clean. I cannot recommend this hotel enough for a stay in Villasimius.

Best hotel I’ve stayed at hotel during my summer of travel in Europe. Great people, lovely, thoughtfully decorated hotel & true customer service! Staying was a true pleasure, I’ll be back & am sending all my friends!
