Kindness and cleanliness of the owner and staff… it is worth more than the stars it most likely carries more than someone who has it. Strategic point for the descent to the natural pools offers its own organization for reservations to boat trips of the island.
Tendency to support and resolve any guest issues.
It is not a Hotel to try again but a certainty to maintain.

This year nn I was not at all satisfied with dirty rooms, and unkind staff in my requests. Dust, television without remote control is very small uncomfortable bathroom, and more… Disappointing.

Weekends as a couple. Very friendly staff and flexible services as needed. Lovely location.

Had a wonderful time there food was great service wonderful close to water shops beautiful and clean Best vacation.

Aside from being a five star hotel on a remote beautiful island, the owners and staff are all kind, willing and able
to offer any assistance you may need. You know from the moment you step in that they love their "jobs" but I don't think they think of it as a job. They all speak perfect English and several other languages. The complimentary continental breakfast is one of the best I've seen and they don't have a hard stop. The dinning room faces the ocean under shade. Free Wi-Fi is a pleasant surprise for a remote paradiso Island. Rooms are large and clean and face the ocean. Make sure to Say hello to Mouritzo thru the open kitchen window next store at the pizzaria. Outdoor karaoke a few meters away. Enjoy. I look forward to my return and seeing my new friends again!

Set in one of the most beautiful areas of the island, the hotel enjoys fantastic views with the picturesque island of Palmarola in front of it. The large rooftop terrace the short distance to the most beautiful sea accesses and to all the shops of basic need make it unique. Family environment with typical furnishings where friendliness kindness and the great availability of the owners and staff make the stay pleasant and relaxing. It was like feeling at home. Another strong point is the location where breakfast and dinner are served… open with beautiful sea views I still thank Giovanna, the owner, for the immense courtesy of booking and picking up at the port our tickets for the return ferry in order not to make us miss the day by boat. We will definitely come back.

Great property. The staff were friendly and helpful. Attached restaurant of excellent quality. Also recommended for value for money.

The room for 3 narrow enough to not be able to open the tent. Fridge in the room empty. Drain water broke, and took the current, detached from the wall. The decor is dated. Location is view great.

The beautiful views of the hotel Ortensia. Visited out of season and then closed by a while perhaps impossible to give a true total judgement as I believe that the things seen could change before the summer reopening. But for the food I can reassure you really great.

Room is small, furniture old and price is way too high. We had the room furthest away from reception and obviously internet connection would not work from there. Upon complaining staff answered with a laugh saying we saw pictures of the property before accepting the room and price, which in all fairness is true. But little did we know that bed would not be properly made, fridge broken, furniture tacky, floor dirty and terrace furniture dirty AF. Il Forna is a cute area but try to find another place than this overpriced hell hole.

We happened by chance but we will return by choice hospitality and cordiality assured. Perfect cleanliness and location. A pearl in our Mediterranean Sea.

Hotel Ortensia is in the best location in Ponza. The views from the dining area are spectacular. The hotel is spotless and has every amenity that you need to make your stay a pleasureable one! Your hosts Giovanna and Danielle make you feel at home from your first step into the hotel. They are charming and are always available to make sure all your needs are attended to.
A beautiful hotel-a wonderful choice! Can't wait to come back!

Wonderful solution for a great holiday by being close to the sea. The sunsets on Palmarola which you can watch from the rooms are a unique and unforgettable. Services and courtesy.

The Hotel boasts a strategic position for all lovers of the sea, with wonderful coves on the doorstep, and is equipped with all the comforts for a holiday in complete serenity and tranquility. Not to mention the kitchen, outstanding! I will definitely be back.
