Pretoro is a quaint historic town. Fun to walk around and around every corner is a beautiful picture opportunity. From the Maiella Residence Praetorium you can see the Adriatic Sea and surrounding towns. Short drive to Chieti and Pescara with its beautiful coastline. The best part however is our host William. He met us at the airport in Pescara so we could follow him in our rental car and not get lost driving in the dark. The next day drove us around the town and showed us the market, butcher, gas station, the local bar and restaurants where the owners spoke English.
He invited us to dinner with his friends and is taking us to the bus station so we can travel to Rome (only 2 hours away) so we don't have to worry about parking our car. He will also pick us up upon our return. Absolutely the best Airbnb host ever! If you want to experience the real Italy and skip the overpriced tourist spots I highly recommend you stay here!
