Thea Monza

I wanted to share some feedback about our recent stay at your Airbnb in Monza. We've had the pleasure of staying at various Monza Airbnbs, but unfortunately, this experience was not up to par.
To begin with, while the room was clean and the location was excellent—both of which are common traits among many Airbnbs—the host's behavior was less than satisfactory. They were unresponsive to emails and quite disrespectful, which created a tense atmosphere.
We booked the room several weeks in advance but did not receive any access codes until 5 minutes before our arrival. When we inquired about the access, the only response was about the additional local tax we needed to pay, which was fine. However, upon our timely arrival, the host appeared a few minutes later, threw the key to us, and complained "due. " She hurriedly mentioned she can only communicate in either Spanish or Italian, and then left without further assistance.
We managed to find our way to the room, but encountered several issues. First, the air conditioner was installed near the entrance door, which created two distinct climatic zones within the room—23 degrees Celsius near the entrance and 50 degrees Celsius in the maisonette area. Second, the kitchen lacked basic necessities such as a cutting board, glasses, and kitchen knives. The host's hasty departure without any introduction left us to figure things out on our own.

Totally Unreliable!
Very negative experience with the host. As we were planning to attend the Monza Grand Prix (September 2023), and knowing that it would be very difficult to find accommodation during those 3 days (September 1-3^rd) we made the reservation one year in advance (September 2022) via Airbnb (HMSAYK48JQ). However, less than a month before the trip (August 2023) they canceled the reservation with the following message “/we are sorry to cancel the reservation due to structural damage caused by bad weather. Sorry about that/”. Not to our surprise, when we checked the apartment on Booking, it was available for reservations before and after our dates. Given that it doesn't make sense to have "structural damage" only for specific days (unless it is a metaphysical phenomenon they are experiencing in that apartment, they must think we are idiots, or just don't care what we think) apparently the “hosts” had found a better deal for the Grand Prix days we had booked and wanted to make the best of it! Of course, to use the pretext of the bad weather is an insult to the people who actually suffer damages, but that is a minor detail. Needless to say that because they cancelled at the last minute it was impossible for us to find a proper place to stay in Monza during the Grand Prix that didn’t cost 3 times our budget, so we had to book in another city instead! Totally unacceptable and unprofessional attitude.
