I don’t like leaving bad reviews, but people deserve a heads-up. Hostel Colours was hands-down the worst stay of my trip. The place felt prison-like and neglected. Doors and fixtures were broken, and the bathrooms were a mess — one toilet trying to serve a massive men’s dorm, people walking in while you’re using it, and the showers had guys literally peeing on the floor. Hygiene and basic respect just weren’t enforced at all.
Lockers were another problem: no real locks or secure setup, so I didn’t feel safe leaving my bag or sleeping normally. I ended up staying awake basically two straight days because the room and floors felt sketchy and unsanitary. That’s not “budget travel grit, ” that’s a place not being managed.
Maybe I caught it on a bad stretch, but this wasn’t a vibe issue — it was cleanliness, safety, and basic maintenance. I can handle simple. I can’t handle filthy and unsecured. Would not stay again.

You've read the other reviews and if you haven't, I implore you to because they are all true. Realistically people who've actually stayed here will always leave a 1 or 2 star review max.
The good:
Close to a metro stop (10 min walk) and not touristy.
The not good:
I didn't stay the 2 nights I book and paid for on the 28th of December. The room I was given was so dirty with stains, mould and smells I couldn't explain everywhere. The price attracts the worst kinds of people but thats part of it. I'll also add that I haven't been given a refund as of now for the payment of the nights and the city tax. The staff's response was quite sad to see since it seems they're used to people just being okay sleeping on what could be someones urine, blood or whatever. When we asked for a refund they said they cannot (this is against EU and italian law) and to contact their email (they haven't responded properly as of yet).
When we complained about the stains they told us to cover it with the bed sheets (which are also stained and in our case were dropped in the puddle on the street outside on the way to the room without concern) and then they say "prego". They offered another room to stay in but my goodness the stains get worse. In the end we spoke with someone called Sara on one of the staff's phone who hung up on us twice when we asked how the refund will be handled.
