Went there for the F1 Monza GP. The hotel is clean, got an old vibe about it. Very friendly staff, who also helped us figure out how to use the public transport system, including how to get to the track (special shout out to Camila at the reception). Only disadvantage is that it is quite far from the nicer restaurants in Darsena. The restaurant across the road though offered good value and nice food. The breakfast could be better. Perhaps a hot breakfast.

Staff very welcoming, friendly helpful and professional. Lovely 'art deco' reception area. Continental breakfast good. Shuttle bus opposite hotel very efficient to Metro… only approx. 10 mins. Away… good connections to Central Milan/main train station and localities. Rooms adequate, cleaned daily… but would really benefit from coffee/tea making facilities.
What really lets this hotel down is the dreadful carpet on all floors, including in the lift! For sure this is not a good first impression and remains a source of mystery to us! We were told 'it's always been like that/is meant to be like that…! '… you really would have to see it to believe it… is quite shocking to say the least!

Firstly… Hotel Alga staff were excellent! Very friendly helpful and professional. Reception area lovely and welcoming atmosphere. Breakfast continental and good… service from staff, again, great… thanks to all… including cleaners. Rooms clean and adequate… would have been good to have a coffee maker/kettle in room.
Main and somewhat shocking issue which was blot on landscape of otherwise art deco style Hotel… was the carpet on all the passageways leading to rooms… and in lift (see pics. ). This really needs changing ASAP! It was good to have shuttle bus opposite Hotel that ran every 20 mins or so and took us straight to metro… connecting to all major cities of Milan and local areas… plus connections to trains to Lake Como, Bergamo etc. All in all wonderful holiday But please change that carpet! Thank you x.
