BB TORTONA

We stayed at BB Tortona for 3 nights and would never recommend this experience. There were several dodgy things around it and the services/offerings shown online don’t match what you get. Before the check-in we received a message saying that if we leave the 10/10 review straight away, we won’t have to pay for one night of city tax. We suspect this is why this place isn’t rated 1/10 but higher as the city tax is quite expensive.
When it comes to a room itself, the bathroom is shared with several rooms (not mentioned clearly online). The windows have a black tape so there’s no sun coming through the windows. The TV in our room didn’t even have a cable and when we messaged about it we received a response that you can watch only Netflix with your own account. First of all, the TV was not even working due to the lack of the cable, second of all, the advertising also offers the cable channels (the offering online doesn’t match what you get). There were problems with the lights in the building two times during our stay meaning that the black windows plus no lights meant we had to stay with our flashlights on. The wall just above the bed had lots of stains and one of the towels we received was dirty. The offering also mentions a free coffee 24/7 but while the coffee machine is there, there’s no coffee available. Generally speaking, the place feels more like a prison and it was very disappointing.

We are very satisfied with our stay at B&B Tortona. The neighborhood is vibrant, safe, and full of great cafes and shops. Our room was beautifully decorated, clean, and thoughtfully designed for comfort. The check-in process was smooth and the location is perfect for exploring Milan. Highly recommended!

Good place, lots of room. Next to the nice Navigli area and a really beautiful garden restaurant. In the kitchen there’s a coffee machine and fridge, but not any cooking utencils. We were booking in last minute and happy we got a place to stay in short notice.

Bed and Breakfast in a very effective position to reach Milan downtown and Navigli. Close to the Porta Genova metro station and tram lines. Rooms with different sizes to accomodate solo, couple and familie. Not a 5* hotel, but more than worth the price.

DO NOT BOOK is a scam! I booked this location via booking. Com and it was a terrible terrible experience. The pictures are of at least 20 years ago, the place was dirty (like really dirty) and smelly, there is only a common bathroom (it was not clearly mentioned in the room description), the overall status of the property is terrible (e. G. They had no curtains and covered the window glasses with black tape). I could go on. The second night of my stay I got stuck outside the building as there was no electricity and the entrance door only opens with an electric lock. It took them hours to find the keys and once inside there was no way to solve the electricity issue so I had to pack my stuff (in the full dark, my phone has no battery left) and find another hotel at 1 am. When I raised a complaint with booking. Com the owner mentioned I couldn't get a refund as I didn't flag the issues to them. Which is a clear lie as I have plenty of screenshots to prove I called them and wrote them to point out the bizarre situation I was experiencing. Really, do not book this place.
