Hotel Sciatori

We had the most wonderful stay at a delightful family-run hotel in Livigno, and I cannot recommend it highly enough.
From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel completely at home. The hotel is immaculate — our room was cleaned to perfection every single day, with care and attention to detail. It’s clear that the owners take enormous pride in maintaining the highest standards.
The service was exemplary. Even though we needed to use Google Translate at times, communication with the hotel manager was easy and enjoyable. She was incredibly friendly, patient and helpful, always going out of her way to ensure we had everything we needed. That genuine warmth made such a difference to our stay.
Breakfast each morning was a highlight. There is an excellent selection of both sweet and savoury options included in the cost, and the owner personally prepares fresh omelettes to order — such a lovely touch. The coffee was delicious, and being in Livigno, the duty-free shopping nearby is an added bonus.
For skiers, the location is fantastic. The ski lift is right outside the hotel, and you can even purchase your lift pass there, which makes everything so convenient. There is ski hire directly across the road, which made our entire experience seamless and stress-free.
The hotel is located away from the town centre, which we actually appreciated for its peaceful atmosphere.

Looking for a hotel in this area during the Olympics was no easy task. Most places asking $2000+ per night. I found Hotel Sciatori. Looked like a nice place. Upon booking it was requested that I send a wire transfer for the deposit. Coming from the US this is not typical process for booking, and made the process little unnerving. After communicating with the staff at the hotel for a few days I felt comfortable sending deposit via international wire. Upon arriving we couldn’t have been happier with this experience. Nice family owned property at the base of a ski lift in a beautiful area close to Livingo. They were very accommodating. Making breakfast in the mornings and making sure we had what we needed. They also put me in contact with a local driver that was an ease in our trip as well. This property would see many more guests if they accepted credit cards. I would most definitely recommend!
