Garni Gimea

Great hotel, clean rooms, delicious breakfast, close to the Carosello, first and foremost fantastic and helpful owners running that business.

Garni Gimea was booked directly with the contact details on the website. When booking, we asked if the room was suitable for 3 adults and the owners said yes. Rooms "could" accommodate a 3rd person, but the 3rd "bed" is an extreme joke — the table and chairs transforms in a very small and uncomfortable bed. The owners are a bit difficult to communicate with, as they do not speak English. I asked about the bed, maybe there is a possibility to change it, but I got an offer to move to another room for a few nights only, for an extra charge. It was a really unpleasant surprise to be asked several times about the beds during the booking process. The hotel is tidy and has a ski boot drying room.
The owners don't like it if guests bring fruit such as kiwis or apples from the breakfast table to the room. They take the fruit back when the rooms are cleaned. Cruelly crooked. In 20 years of travelling, it's certainly the first time this has happened, to take a guest's snack out of their room.
The location of the hotel is really convenient — very close to the Americano cable car, a few minutes walk to the Carussello cable car, several grocery stores, bus stop. There are also several cool restaurants nearby with delicious food and a cosy atmosphere.

Very good hotel with friendly hosts. Clean rooms. Quite location.
