Lovely historic boutique hotel. Wonderful location on shore of Lake Como. Great hosts!

We had breakfast at Hotel Olivedo this morning and Enzo was very accommodating! Very friendly, funny and made the best cappuccino we’ve had in Italy so far thank you for having us all the way from England! Will highly recommend.

Fantastic hotel, beautiful town of Varenna, hotel is situated right at waterfront with stunning views of Lake Como. Good breakfast.

Friendly staff, good breakfast. We stayed in a superior room, glad booked as standard would have been too small as superior was pretty average size. Overlooked the Piazza which was lovely. On a negative, could have had more electrical sockets. I had to pull the bedside cabinet out to plug in my phone and this was not as clean as it should have been, obvious cleaners had not done this for some time. Overall was very happy with the accommodation, fantastic location to get around Como which was key. Not far to walk from train stration either.

We had a fabulous 7 nights stay at Olivedo, a delightful family owned hotel. We enjoyed our Lakeview room which was comfortable, spacious and the views were awesome. Breakfast and dinners were ample and very good. The owners and the staff were always friendly, helpful and hospitable. The Train station, a few minutes walk behind it And the ferries in front of it on the promenade make it the perfect spot to move around with ease. Definitely recomend it! Thank you all at Olivedo.

I was just eating and I have to say the restaurant is great. Both the first and second are fantastic, fresh and well cooked. I recommend it.

Lovely family hotel! The owners are there night and day to welcome you. Just on the ferry dock so very handy for travel. You can watch the world go by from the front terrace!

Particular hotel with the typical structure of end 900. Located in a pleasant location directly on the lake front front Pier mooring navigation on the lake, bar on the ground floor with outdoor tables on the veranda from which you can enjoy the lakeside landscape or even the go-ahead of tourists of all nationalities engaged in taking or Getting off the ferry, it goes without saying that it is an excellent starting point to visit all the pleasant localities of Lake Como as well as being embedded in one of the most beautiful. Get up in the morning and open the windows on the panorama of the lake is priceless.

Efficient & friendly staff. Delicious dinners with prices comparable to neighboring restaurants. We'd come back. Good location.

Excellent Hotel restaurant where you will meet the true atmosphere of Lake Como and you can delight with the typical dishes of Lario.

One of the most memorable trips and places I took that year. The little Hotel Olivedo is old but full of Italian charms — hostess and room facing the Lake Como were mesmerizing and charming day and night. The dinner in the Hotel was sumptuous and delectable. Highly recommended.

I think it deserves in the winter months, when you eat inside, in the hotel room. Correct price/quality ratio.

A romantic place of yesterdays, you breathe the atmosphere of once. In the low season it has a very peculiar charm, of yesteryear.

Our weekend stay at Hotel Olivedo in Varenna was wondersful. The staff were very helpful and friendly, the service was excellent and the location was perfect. If you cannot stay at Hotel Olivedo, pick one of the other hotels in Varenna that are on the lake … you won't be disappointed.

We only had a drink there, but the waiter was very unpleasant, she barely gave us the informations needed (when does the lunch begin, where is the toilet etc). I wouldn't come a second time.

We had a great stay! View was spectacular and the staff was especially friendly. The free breakfast was yummy and included croissants, mixture of breads, ham and cheese, cereals, and juices. You could also choose from hard boiled eggs or scrambled (with and without bacon). Overall we had a lovely stay.

Super unfriendly staff; all staff was sitting inside while guests needed to sit outside in the rain… what a customer service : (after asking if we can order coffee also in the reception area they react pretty aggressiv.

I still can not believe that they leave their guests (for coffee etc) sitting outside in the rain, wind + 10 degrees, because all tables inside are used by the hotel stuff for watching TV on their laptops (every crew member is blocking a whole table. ). Ridiculous. Worst service experience ever!

Nice hotel located right on Lake Como. Situated right next to the ferry terminal as well it makes for an excellent location to be able to travel via ferry to the other towns along the lake. Hotel itself is old charm with nice windows opening to the lake. Wi-Fi can be slow but it is nice nonetheless.

Stunning location on the waterfront near the car ferry at Verenna. Always plenty happening around you. Meal was good but a little pricier than others nearby. Menu was local based.

Very delicious dinner, waiting times OK. Staff might be more attentive, though.

The staff is friendly and welcoming. Our room had a great view of Lake Como. Room was very clean and comfortable.

Everything was perfect, location, staff and room. It is like paradise!

Was a joke. Had a "menu", which contained two soups of the day, nothing special, probably warmed up in a microwave, one beer and a cheap wine. Bread (6 pieces of dry baguette) was an extra cost. All together was 33 €! Not recommandable.

Small hotel opposite the Lake, one of the top prospects to enjoy the view. Warm and welcoming, the staff always available. If you happen to go there in the winter months you will find that it is one of the few places open in Varenna, but do not despair because the restaurant is also very good!

I stayed at the Hotel Olivedo 2 years ago and I loved it so much, I'm staying there again in June. Laura is a wonderful manager and my family loved the breakfast and dinners at the hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone wanting the romantic getaway from Milan, just an hour train ride away.

There seems to always be a "problem" with the credit card machine and they say "it will be necessary to use cash".
