What a wonderful trip. Hotel Villa Marie was just lovely and ever so peaceful. We felt right at home and Sarah was sweet and helpful everyday. Breakfast was delicious! I couldn’t wait to get up every morning to eat those to die for homemade croissants! We will never forget our experience.

This hotel is beautiful but what makes it extra special after the amazing views are the owners and staff who treat you like family. Nothing is too much trouble and they are great for recommending things. They remembered us from 5 years ago. Love this place.

5 Stars — Stayed here for a week to celebrate our Silver Wedding Anniversary. Elisabetta, Andreas and Sara certainly made our stay all the more memorable. Friendly, clean and full of character, perfectly positioned in Tremezzo. We would highly recommend this wonderful hotel and would stay again. Thank you Andreas for the Gin Marie.

Just wanted to say what a lovely time we had staying at Hotel Villa Marie in Tremezzo, Lake Como. Set in a scenic central location on the lake just a short ferry hop to Lenno, Bellagio, Varenna & Menaggio. Our room was clean & comfortable & stunning views from our balcony. It was never a problem getting a bed by the pool & the bar was stocked with a good variety of drinks & the breakfast was good. However, the thing that really stands out with this Hotel is the excellent customer service provided by the owners & staff. They made us feel so welcome, answered all our questions & gave good advice on places to visit. Sometimes it's the little things that make the difference & they were lovely, genuine & caring people which certainly enhanced our stay. Thanks again!

Beautiful. The hotel is very comfortable and of an excellent location, the owners are very friendly, and the place is absolutely beautiful.

Great place to stay on lake Como. The owner/manager and his wife and team went out of their way to do as much as they could for us. We had a hire car (Hertz/global car) complete breakdown after 3 hours operation and car was towed away. Andreas and Esabetta phoned all over to try to get another car to no avail even after it had leaked oil all over his magnificent stone driveways.
Never ever hire a car Thru Global car or Hertz ever again in Europe. They could not care less and have done nothing for us what so ever.

The best and the owners are great!

I am pretty sure I have found my favorite place on the earth! I will be back here again and again.! I love it and I recommend it highly. I have been all over the world, literally to every continent, but South America and this place is my favorite ever! I give it a 10+!

Unfortunately often fully booked, but here you always like to come by to enjoy.

This was the first time my bae / love of my life and I have visited Lake Como and we left feeling as though we had made a good choice choosing Tremezzo / Hotel Villa Marie. The rooms are small and basic, but clean and have all the basic amenities that you would expect for a good 3* hotel (probably a 4* in the UK). My bae notes that the annex rooms did lack a floor length mirror, but so did the ME Milan il Duca 5* Hotel, so we felt reticent to downscore them on this particular feature. The views of the lake are spectacular, the rooms that front the lake are worth paying extra for. Breakfast was a charming affair. My bae and I both agreed that we weren't entirely convinced by the continental breakfast concept/hype before coming here, but we left with bellies full of meat, cheese, toast, eggs (boiled, hard) and croissants with either nutella or jam. Bae had a cappuccino and I had black coffee. This became a lakeside morning ritual for us and one we shall never regret. Andrea / Liz / Sarah were all very accomodating and friendly. Shout out to Sarah for being literally the nicest woman in the world. Another charming feature was that they also had a puppy called Ellie. I am unsure on Ellie's breed but she is a delightful little dog. Finally, as usual I will take a moment to comment on any activities that took place. Bae and I found that the annex room did engender heightened levels of passion, but we enjoyed ourselves broadly equally in all locations across the Hotel.

Just the perfect place to stay around Como lake — amazing and friendly service.
Location is perfect and stunning view on the lake. Been there twice already and no doubt it will be my first choice if I have the chance to visit Como again.

Gorgeous hotel with friendly staff who couldn't do enough for you. The room was clean and spacious with stunning views. Will definitely return for more cuddles with the pup, more divine lasagne and more Aperol spritz on the beautiful roof terrace. Not even the rain could dampen my love of this place. A very good hotel in excellent location. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended.

This place is simply perfect, amazing location at few minutes of walk from the center and the boat station, clean room, balcony with great view, good breakfast and great staff. Easy parking and booking directly to the staff by telephone or by Mail. We will definitely be back.

Cancellation charges rip-off Booked this hotel to attend a wedding which we are unable to attend, so cancelled 5 weeks before our booked arrival time to find that they charged us 180 euro and will not refund this, even though they will now re-let the room, in a word — crooks…

Good value (if a little small) rooms in one of the most beautiful places on the planet. The owners are very friendly and helpful without being in the least intrusive. Be sure to ask their recommendations for where to eat while in town.
