A classy older hotel. A balcony overlooking the Lake, a real bidet in the spacious bathroom, lots of closet space, and right in the middle of things to see and do in Como.

I booked two lake-facing rooms in this hotel for 5 nights in August. This was my second stay at thishotel. It is very centrally located. Checking in was very smooth. The rooms were spacious with comfortable beds and very clean bathrooms. House keeping was thorough. The view from the room balcony is breathtaking. The ferry boat landing is meters away and is convenient for lake trips. Breakfast is served in a cosy restaurant overlooking the square. There was a good variety of items. The scrambled eggs were the best I have ever had. Staff were pleasant, polite and responsive. I will not hesitate to recommend this hotel to prospective visitors to Como. Hussain Redha.

Absolutely perfect location! Check in a bit slow due to very needy guests ahead of us. Staff very friendly and went out of their way to accommodate all our requests! A/C worked well in our room. Lots of pillows! We were on the 5th floor. View of Lake Como & town square just terrific! Breakfast was quite good. Bathroom was spacious, beds really comfy, room was very clean, balconies were a good size, lifts were quite small though. Carpets could use replacing but not a big deal. Only other issue is concern were no USB plugs. Highly Recommend! ❤️

Carpeting in hallways is tired, no USB outlets in room, bar and restaurant are nice. Only some rooms have a view of the lake. Staff services are good even when it is busy. Balconies are small but adequate. Balcony doors are top quality for sound proofing.

I don't know about the hotel, but the restaurant is good, came twice, both times everyone liked it, the food is quality, the service is good, a lot of space, a lot of people, quiet music, delicious bread (not typical of all Italian restaurants), clean good toilet, polite waiter, air conditioning.

Perfect location, amazing view of the lake, adorable lil balcony, very convenient location, very clean, delicious food, best bartenders, walking distance to shopping and landmarks. I highly recommend staying here!

Amazing waterfront locale. Small rooms but comfortable and clean. Safe didn't work. Free breakfast was ok but generous and with many options. Overall wonderful.

The Location is amazing especially if you stay in Lake View Room. The staff was very very kind and gentle. The breakfast was so great and perfect. The room was so clean and very big and it was bigger than my expectation.

I booked a room with 2 single beds with lake view and breakfast included, to spend New Year's Eve in Como, I chose this 4 star hotel to find every comfort, instead nothing worked! The remote control of the TV, I had to turn up if I wanted to change the channel, and especially the heating, I had to sleep all night in the ice with my coat of fur and scarf, going all night to use the hair dryer to warm my hands, the Complaint I made at 5:00 p. M. 00 in the afternoon and arrived at night and claiming with Mr. Manuel that I was cold tells me everything rude: I can not do anything, the heating is off, and if he wants to bring a blanket, I think before working in a hotel 4 stars must do a course of how Trat The guests who pay 500. I stayed at this hotel only for one night and I have to say that the expectations were confirmed. Location but very nice and friendly staff. The rooms spation with the view on the beautiful lake! The only flaw is the restaurant. In my opinion little valued with a menu not up to a 4 star.

Rooms have a wonderful view of lake como, lovely to wake up tp in the morning with the sun coming up. The room has traditional furnishings and is comfortable. Service and staff are excellent. Have had a three night stay at the hotel which has been very enjoyable.

Just returned from a short stay at the Barchetta Excelsior and could strongly recommend it. Location excellent. Staff friendly and attentive. Rooms clean and comfortable. Several English channels on the TV. Balcony overlooking the lake. Really central. Would certainly go back.

Great hotel with amazing views of the lake. I would actually give 4.5 stars. It’s very close to 5 stars. Let me tell you our room was spotless clean. It’s is not the most modern hotel but I highly recommend staying here. I contemplated The Palace Hotel since the rate was similar but did not include breakfast nor had a Lake view. The chocolate croissants are delicious. Extremely friendly staff which makes a hotel so much more appealing. Walk across the street to the ferries which take you all over the lake. The Duomo is just one street behind the hotel with a beautiful square to sit at a Resturant and have lunch or dinner. Spend the extra money for a lake view room so that you aren’t disappointed. We were in room 573.

4 out of 5 due to good location, friendly and helpful staff, clean room and view of the lake. One main down side is the breakfast where you have to pay if you order fried eggs but they have boiled and scrambled eggs for free. Reason is fried eggs not on the table so you pay anything that the kitchen has to make but can order cappuccino even not on the table. Sucks really. For this I won't recommend the place.

Hotel has an amazing view. But the photos don't represent the reality. The rooms are old! Reception are pushy and not professionnal, I wanted to leave early, so they were asking me every 2 minutes when I was leaving exactly to book my room for other people, even though my company had booked for the last night and paid for it. Location is perfect. Overall, good stay but for the price I think there could be better.

Very nice hotel situated just a few steps away from the lake. Nice view from the lake to sit and have wike overlooking the water.

Best central location right on lake close to all transport u need. Clean well priced room with walkout balcony overlooking piazza and harbour. Would highly recomend.

Excellent hotel. Room with view to the Lake worth. The very friendly staff. The hotel is much cuter than it looks in the photos. It is excellently located. Super spacious and comfortable rooms. Very clean. The hotel's restaurant is also highly recommended.

I would definitely go back. We rented a room with lake view and its amazing. The staff is really friendly and helpful, the room is really cozy and I must say the photos published doesn't show it like it really is, they should improve that. If you are a person who worries too much about your hair… Bring your own shampoo, because the one provided is horrible bad and cheap.

One of the most beautiful hotels in the center of Como with lake front.

This hotel is a wonderful Italian experience with felliniesque rooms, beautiful sparkling bathrooms, lovely breakfast and a nice lounge downstairs. The location is right across from the lake and ferries, and is in the old part of town, which is mostly pedestrian, and is great for walking around. If you come by car youvwill be given a parking pass. Loved it there and will go again!

Lovely hotel in a great location near the lake.

My wife and I stayed here in August 2012 for 5 nights and we found it as described. The room we had had a large balcony. Could not fault any aspect of our stay. We will return in the future.
