We were made to feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble.

Amazing views. We have just arrived and can not believe the beauty of what we are seeing outside our balconies. The service is 5 star — shuttle bus pick up and a wine on arrival. Truely a beautiful spot.

Very good Bellagio hotel. I recommend it for the proximity to the lake and the parking situation. Easy to reach if you wait for friends or you move a lot.

My husband And I stayed at Il Perlo for 8 days and cycled each day. Carlo and his wife Enrica run the hotel and are awesome nothing was ever too much trouble and they always made time to stop and chat and check all way ok. The cycling business attached to the hotel Como Lago Bikes is run by Carlo and Alberto Elli (an ex Toue de France yellow
Jersey wearer and competitor in nearly every grand tour). The cycling was awesome. All the tour leaders were absolutely awesome … friendly safe and looked after the slowest rider and the fast riders. I can not recommend them highly enough. The food at I’m Perlo was great you are never hungry! And it good basic traditional Italian fare… just what you want. All up it is a family run business who is there for the customer … I will definitely be back and really can not recommend more highly from both the hotel and cycling perspective… an untapped treasure.

We arrived to the hotel on a busy weekend day without a reservation. We stopped for asking advice about our trip. We were welcomed so friendly, invited to have a drink on the terrace and relax before we continue with our trip. we then decided to change our plan and spend the night there. luckily we managed to have a room available. we had dinner at the restaurant on the terrace. The food was one of the best we had in italy, before and after. sitting on the terrace is a. Sheer joy at any time — it has a breathtaking view which changes by the hour. Jaw dropping. And we did drive through magnificent scenario before getting there. the room was clean with a lovely terrace. We didn’t have one with a lake view, of corse (we were lucky to have one at all) but it was quiet, comfortable bed and if we had time we would have stayed longer.

We have experience dinning here. And our experience is the worst can be! My worst meal in Italy with worst service! We were waiting for our order for one hour, to be served old potatoes (probably left overs) with few pieces of evidently canned vegatable and tasteless meat. 16.6.2018 my rating should be less then one star, if it was available.

Clean, nice view — however, expensive, hard beds, ordinary food & not easy to get to the main town. Bike hire expensive.

Rooms do need updating. But the views are simply breathtaking. Waking up in the morning looking down to the lake was a scene I've never imagined I'd get to experience! Breakfast was great. Owners are very kind and helpful. I will for sure come back to this hotel in the future!

Awesome cycling vacation. The food and rooms and very good. The bike rental and support are excellent. It's a dream destination for cyclists.

Other than that Google thinks it's across the street, this place is perfect. Spend the extra money (Nnot much) on the superior room. The view is gorgeous! I wish I could extend our vacation just to stay here longer.

Great place to rent a bike. Fabulous panoramic views (clue is in the name! ). Nice lunch. Bit of a hilly walk up from Bellaghy but well worth it.

Nice hotel, rooms need updating. Free shuttle to town 4 times per day or pay to schedule a different time. Breakfast is good. Owners are extremely kind and helpful.

The room overlooking the lake is magical ❤️ the hotel is quiet and green, the catering is ok the centre is very accessible by car with free parking spaces near the port The village of Bellagio is superb We would definitely come back.

Lovely hotel. Rooms dated but don't let that put you off. The view is unbelievable and the staff are great. Nightly wine tasting on the stunning terrace is a must as a prelude to a lovely meal. Out of town away from the tourist hustle and bustle, strong focus on cycling groups.

Nice staff, great place, highly recommended. During our stay in Bellagio, we stayed at this hotel. It is located in a nice place with great view. There is a breakfast included in the price which is served on its beautiful terrace. The rooms are clean and comfy. The staff are respectful and nice, they also gave us a complementary bottle of wine when we were checking out. I would recommend this place to everyone.

Such a beautiful hotel with a tremendous view! My wife and I were lucky enough to have stayed here in fall 2015 and fall 2016, and it was magical both times. Carlo the manager, his mother (? ) the Capore and the other staff are all so friendly and helpful. If you can, be sure to book one of the suites with a commanding view of Bellagio and the rest of the lake from Tremizzina to the west and Fiumelatte to the east. Beautiful nights with mountain starfields; waking up to cloud…s creeping over the mountains, falling asleep with last light touching Varenna to he east, or if you're as lucky as we were, fireworks over Bellagio. There are so many activities to enjoy, whether you're interested in picturesque villas, quaint villages, hikes, biking, kayaking; or even just vegging on the balconies like we did! There is a lovely walk starting at the south side of the hotel, leading over and along the Torrento Perlo, down to Villa Melzi, or up to Vergonese, if you want a taste of authentic Lombard village life (lots of watchful and/or friendly village dogs and cats). The rooms (23 and 24) are large and well-appointed, with a mini-kitchen option. We've never taken it because the included breakfasts are generous and the optional (billed to room) dinners are as good or better than the many Italian restaurants we've enjoyed. There are cheap, 3x daily shuttles to/from the hotel and Bellagio, where most boats depart from, or you can call them for a small fee more.

You don't need to be a bike rider to savour this place. My husband and I can't recall such stunning views from the room as well as during breakfast and delicious dinners on the terrace overlooking the mountains and lake.
Reasonably priced. Highly recommend. Pay a bit extra for the lake views, it's worth it!

It had a great view, wonderful service, and bi-lingual staff that were very helpful. The rooms were gorgeous, with two floors (in our room) and an open dinner spot. The rooms are very open and spacious and it had a beautiful wisteria. I. Loved. This. Hotel.

A friend and I stayed here for one night with the sole purpose of cycling the popular routes in the area. The hotel was a cyclist's dream. Room for bikes, nice, high end road bikes available to rent, repair shop, excellent breakfast buffet, and a beautiful view of the spectacular lake and surrounding scenery. Would go back any time and highly recommended.

We arrived at noon and luckily still had availability, but I guess might be because it's not fully season yet. Room and bed was very comfortable. The view from the terrace is amazing. We absolutely preferred this view from up top rather than the lake level views. To top it off, next morning breakfast was included and very yummy as well. Would absolutely come back if we are in the area again.

The place and the hotel is absolutely beautiful! The view alone is worth. Located on the mountain, so hikers will be quite difficult to rise from the lake.

Magnificent view from room and balcony. Lovely staff. Summer breakfasts in the garden. Memorable, real hotel. Easy drive to the center of town. We loved this place and have never stopped talking about it the last four years.

Ethel and I have enjoyed a peace and tranquility very well-deserved. Our soul has gone out comfortable and happy with their views as spectacular as they are unexpected. We have also been helped by the good weather, at the end of June. For the visit to bellagio, take the car and arm yourself with patience with the parking, but it can be done. The service was friendly, the rooms are nice; the shower head was bigger than the dish, but we liked it. It is a matter of taste and how you are that day…

A wonderful hotel. One location only deserves the most praise. To all I recommend to stay in this wonderful place, in truth overlooking the jewel of Italy's Lake Como and Bellagio.

The place is amazing, and just awful.

Staff was quite helpful Languages: spoke at least french and english fairly well AC: no AC, but room was reasonably cool without it. Bathroom: good, no problems. Wifi: it worked well but requires time limited codes. You get 1H free. Location: depends a lot on whether you have a car. It's a very reasonably priced location with an absolutely superb view. But, it's not walking distance from anything useful, really. They have a shuttle that runs 4 times a day if you're on foot, or you can take a cheap cab up and down. If you're driving, it's not a big deal although you have to keep in mind that you'll have to park 10mn away from town center where you can't park without feeding a meter, and then walk. This was a minor inconvenience to us, the hotel staff was helpful in showing us where we'd be able to park for the day (for free). Breakfast: very good breakfast, although eggs (that most other places don't have anyway) were very dry. Elevator: no elevator, ask about what floor you'll be on if your luggage is heavy.
