Hotel "Baia D'Oro", an intimate historic venue since 1953, set in one of the most beautiful and romantic locations on the Riviera dei Limoni: Gargnano. The cuisine is typical Italian, specializing in fish and homemade pasta. The wine cellar is one of the Hotel's gems, with the best Italian, local, Franciacorta, Gran Tuscany and Piedmont wines. Breakfast is à la carte, served on the terrace. Lunch and dinner en plein air by the lake in an environment curated to the smallest details. The Hotel houses a permanent exhibition of paintings by Maestro Terzi, an internationally known painter. Perfect starting point to discover the other small towns of the lake. On request boat service, taxi boat, shore cruise with driver.

I honestly don't know where to start and whether to laugh or cry. In a nutshell:

A few days ago we were in the self-proclaimed luxury hotel Baia d'oro in Gargnano on Lake Garda.
Behind us are the — in relation to the hotel — the most beautiful holidays of my life.
We booked — well noticed about Secret Escapes — actually 4 nights incl. Breakfast in the above-you know hotel.
The dilemma began in hindsight when we arrived, but at the time we were still in a good mood and couldn't have guessed how the next days would go.
Arriving at the hotel we received parking tickets for a nearby underground car park (for 3€ per day) in which, however, there was no space available. This in turn, the hotel is not very interested — we have accepted it with Italian humour and just squeezed us somewhere.
When we arrived at the room, it was about 30 degrees because the air conditioning was not switched on, which the staff could not explain to us.

We celebrated our wedding at the Baia d'Oro. Everything was perfectly prepared. A 2-man chapel with a very wide repertoire provided entertainment and great atmosphere. The 7 Gang Menue was a dream, as was the 3-storey wedding cake. Gabriele, the boss and owner, has responded to every request. The hotel's jetty, which was specially built for the festive day, offered the opportunity to gather in groups "above the water".
I can recommend this hotel and especially the gastronomy to anyone who likes to feel at home as a guest and wants to be pampered all around.
