Lecco Hostel & Rooms

All in all a nice, modern hostel. Good breakfast menu. It's a bit of a walk to the center but there's a bus connection that runs every 20 minutes. It has more of a business vibe rather than being a social hostel. A great improvement would be hairdryers and towel hangers in the bathrooms.

It started like the hostel got hacked on booking. Com and they did not care much to do with the lost money I have now…
The hostel is very far from the centre, 15 minutes walk uphills — there is nothing close to it, the closest store is 12 minutes walk (not the way to the centre).
The receptionist are nice, smiley and well-prepared. I got placed into a 4-bed room instead of a 6-bed one. :)
The rooms are very hot, no AC, not even a fan, and no nets on the windows so that every bug and their mother could come inside. You could hear the kids screaming and jumping in the trampoline until around 10-11pm every day, and one night there was a private party outside the restaurant until 2am and even with closed windows it was impossible to sleep or rest. And without opening the windows you have no air…
At first it seems like the restaurant is for the guests of the hostel — but literally everyone comes there, I was expecting no kids in a hostel and they were running around everywhere, very disturbing when someone just wants to rest.
The door is hell — you can hear it open very loudly not just your door but the other rooms, too. The beds are comfortable, the shower is a little small but okay. They clean it everyday, staff is nice (though one of them tried to hit on me…).
Safety is okay, there are plenty of room in the storage to pack your bags, there is one drawer below the beds and one big cabinet with hangers — very great.

I really liked this hostel. Only 15 minutes walk from the train station. Surrounded by beautiful mountains. I was also lucky, I was alone in a room for four and felt like I was in a good hotel. Extremely friendly reception staff, also very nice staff at the bar and during breakfast. The room is very clean, there is everything you need for your stay, they even give you a foot towel, which is unusual for a hostel. Under the bed there is a lockable drawer for personal belongings, there are also lockers in the hallway. A table, two chairs and a bench. Also something like a changing cabin with a curtain. There is soap in the bathroom, and there is also soap for the shower in the shower cabin. Yes, the shower cabin is small, but I fit in there perfectly. There was only one minus, some kind of error in the lighting system, at night in the corridor inside the room the light turned on for a couple of minutes, then went out. But no one broke into my room. The hostel is not in the rush tourist center, it closes from the inside at 11 pm and there is 24-hour security. So do not be afraid, nothing will happen to you. Even before 11 pm, the guests were talking loudly on the veranda outside, and their children were playing ball under the window. But exactly at 11 pm, everyone went inside and it became quiet. At night, no one bothered me, did not make noise. In the morning, you can have breakfast either inside or on the veranda with a view of the mountains.

I had an amazing stay at Lecco Hostel! From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by how clean and fresh everything was — spotless rooms, really well-maintained facilities, and a welcoming atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always going the extra mile to make sure guests felt comfortable.
The vibe here is just perfect — relaxed, social, and inviting. Whether you’re looking to meet fellow travelers or just unwind, this place strikes the right balance. And the food? Absolutely delicious! Every meal was well-prepared, fresh, and full of flavor.

Had the best stay at Lecco Hostel & Rooms.
Very clean and spacious rooms with big individual lockers available per person. Breakfast was simple and good. Staff were very friendly and gave me very good recommendations on what to do in Lake Como and Italy. A small nitpick would be the location being slightly far from the city centre and station, but it’s just a small issue compared to my overall comfortable experience here. Would highly recommend!

Super nice hostel! The room was clean and spacious and so were the lockers (bring your own lock). The staff was super helpful and nice, and they gave me good recommendations whenever I wanted to find a nice restaurant or come up with something to do. The location is good, even though maybe a bit far from the city center. However there is local bus that stops right in front of the hostel if you don't feel like walking (although the walk down to the center is full of pretty houses).

Awesome stay in Lecco. Pretty close to the center and the lake (10min walking) and close to the first trails too.

I felt welcome. It's clean, nice, workers there are great. I got nice breakfast there.
My room mates were not open to meet each other, ok it happens. Still I recommend strongly this place with a high ratio quality/price.

The rooms were great, confortable beds and very clean. A bit out of the city center, so a 20 min walk. Not a great hostel for solo travelers who want to connect with others, but perfect if you're already with friends. Breakfast is simple yet good, the burger Restaurant is not so good tho.

Reasonably priced. A bit of a walk up hill from town. Clean, modern and spacious rooms/ facilities. Attached restaurant/ bar. Helpful staff. Good quality buffet style breakfast included in price. Walls are a bit thin so can be a bit noisy in the rooms.

Very clean, comfortable and modern hostel, with nice view of mountains. Staff were nice and there was an excellent breakfast (croissants were particularly tasty)! It is quite a walk up a hill from the centre of Lecco and the station, but there is a bus you can take. Rooms were rather warm as the AC was not strong enough and there were no fans. It was slightly pricey at 46 EUR for a bed in shared room (though that did include breakfast).

The hostel in itself is fine but we stayed for 3 nights in the middle of August and there was no AC. The temperature in the room was around 28 degrees even at night which made it hard to sleep. Not even a fan is provided. The rooms are big and clean but the shower is very small, so if you’re plus size or muscular you might not even fit inside. Finally the hostel is a 20min walk up a hill from the station so it’s very tiring to get there if you’ve been walking all day. There are buses but they don’t run very often or very late. All in all I wouldn’t stay at this hostel again even though Lecco in itself is very pretty.

Do not stay here if it is hot weather, the room was an unbearable 28 degrees with no fans or air conditioning. We were told some nonsense that mountain air would cool the room at night, it didn't. The hostel location is also not good, up a steep hill a long way from the lake and the main town, avoid.

Overall good place to stay. Rooms are not small, and they are clean and comfortable. I guess the facility is newly constructed, so everything is very modern and beautifully designed. I did not use the kitchen much but I think it is useful for those who want to, just that I could not find a bottle opener. You can use the fridge in the kitchen. Public bathroom was always clean during my stay of 7 days. Also, the shower in the room was a bit too small, something like 70x70 cm maybe. Beds are very comfortable but I think the air conditioning does not work, or maybe I could not find it. Only problem is the location. It is about half an hour walk from the center of lecco. Towards the center it is not very tiring but when returning from the center you have to walk uphill so it takes some time. There is a bus stop right in front of the hostel, but I did not use the bus often and just walked. What I liked best was the breakfast though, the croissants here are delicious. And the lady there was very helpful, always asking if we wanted coffee or anything. I would definitely stay here if I ever visit lecco again.

This hostel was our home for a week me and my friends were very satisfied with the service we got. Every morning there is a breakfast service and they serve croissants, every croissant that I had was very fresh, and very tasteful, besides that you can have other things as well. The rooms were so clean, every day our room and baths were cleaned, and every three day our bed sheets and towels have been changed. The restaurant near the lobby was so nice, I had a cheeseburger over there and recommend it. The people in the lobby were so nice and helpful, they provide solutions to every question that we asked, they were customer-oriented people. Only drawback of the hostel is the hill. It would be best if you climbed a hill to reach the hostel. From the coast of the lake and from the train station to the hostel it lasts around 20 minutes. But there is also a bus stop near the hostel you can take the bus number “1” to go to the lake and also to come back to the hostel as well.

Wow. I didn't expect it would be so good. I really regret I didn't have time to spend more nights here. There is a bus stop next to it or 17 min walk from the train. The facility seems to be a new and modern design. In my opinion, it is very well maintained. The only thing is that the shower is super small, but everything else is awesome. I like way more than some big brand hostels in Milano. If I can, I will definitely repeat this stay. They speak English, very friendly and nice staff. Everything was super clean. Water dispenser, bed sheets, towels (big and small), soaps are provided. They really have everything.

Finding negative points on this hostel is very difficult. The room was clean and cozy. But the biggest triumph is definitely the food. I ordered a "basic" salad with chicken strips, parmesan, etc. However, it was so tasty. And the portion of this meal! Amazing. The ratio of price and quality was great. Also, I would like to point out the waitress. She was really nice.
