Casa Caste

The Christmas period, in December 2020, looked rather dull due to the general situation dictated by Covid.
At the last moment, orphans of our usual holidays in Alto Adige, we nevertheless decided not to spend forced holidays at home, but to move for a few days to Valtellina, to Bormio, therefore remaining in Lombardy.
The solution of a holiday at home was the one that best suited the circumstances and so we chose Casa Caste.
The attic made available to us by Clara and Giuseppe's family turned out to be a magnificent surprise; in addition to being immediately welcoming, it is bright, very clean, offers a privileged view of the Stelvio slope and enjoys a special position, as it is located just outside the centre, in a quiet residential area, but a few steps from everything that Bormio offers: facilities, shops, premises, services.
The apartment is large, very livable, everywhere you can appreciate the warmth of the wood worked personally by the owner; the amenities are of high quality, first-rate furnishings and appliances do not make you miss the comforts of your own home; the comfortable beds, made attractive by a nice choice of linen, invite you to have a regenerating sleep!

Casa Caste is in my opinion in an ideal position for those who love skiing. The cable car that takes you to the Bormio2000 area is really just a stone's throw away, but the town center with its pedestrian street can also be easily reached. The apartments are very well looked after, we stayed in a two-room apartment on the ground floor, but we were also able to look around in two others (the three-room attic apartment was particularly beautiful) ; all in comfortable light wood, warm, very clean, equipped with everything you need. But the added value is the kindness and helpfulness of the owner Clara, a wonderful propensity for pleasant chatting and socializing without formalism. A winning choice.

Five of us stayed in the attic. We were welcomed with great kindness by Clara and her family. The beautiful apartment: spacious, very clean, with great attention to detail with particular attention to the well-being of the guests (for example coffee pods and various herbal teas and teas).
We felt at home!

Just back from a week skiing over Christmas in Bormio with my extended family — 9 people. Teenager, lots of mid 20’s and a couple of more mature adults! It was a great break, lovely ski resort and Clara plus her family and great accommodation were central to this. We stayed in a large 2 bed apartment and a second 1 bed apt and both were equipped with pull out sofa beds, full kitchens and high quality bathrooms, washing machines, dish washers, etc… as well as a balcony with view of the ski slopes for the World Cup downhill race! Friendly, high quality apartments with anything we needed 100 m to ski lifts and 5 min walk to town. We were well able to cook Christmas dinner and feed a large gang due to facilities and equipment. The town was lively with good restaurants and occasional bar. Everyone we dealt with could not have been more helpful. Big call out to OKGo for ski gear rental — Marianna was brilliant, Elma Viaggi taxis for transfers and Scuola Ski Nazionale (Francesco) for ski lessons.
Will definitely be back.
