This is an excellent family run hotel. The staff and the owners go out of their way to help their guests. The food is fantastic and the Bormio area is excellent. I highly recommend it.

A cyclists dream vacation! We chose our cycling vacation in Bormio and chose to stay at Hotel Funivia after reading about Daniele and his hotel in several cycling publications. Camilla was brilliant and helped make all the arrangements so that our transportation and stay were flawless. The room was beautiful and immaculately clean with a wonderful mountain view. We chose the half board with cycling service and loved the good food and appreciated having our cycling clothes cleaned each day. Regarding the food, they have cyclists in mind when preparing the menu. The breakfast buffet was outstanding and they provided sandwiches and fruit for the rides. The dinner choices were delicious and full of local specialities. The bike bar/cafe down stairs was a perfect place to relax and socialize after long rides. Additionally they have a full service shop where you can store and tune your bike. Funivia partners with Stelvio Experience and the week of guided rides will never be forgotten. Giacomo and his guides were professional and attentive and helped us to have exceptional experiences climbing the mountain passes of Italy and Switzerland. Funivia also partners with Spot On! A local bike shop which provided our rental bikes. Sometimes rental bikes are not top quality but Paulo and his shop provided top shelf Pinerellos with full Dura Ace and Fulcrum Racing Zero wheels. Having a well equipped whip made the climbs and descents all the more fun.

Best holiday and value for money. Customer service was outstanding. The Bike maintenance area was fantastic but should be advertised more in the website/booking info. Stelvio Experience could not be faulted; absolutely best fun!

We stayed their as part of a cycling package with Giacomo. They understand the needs of cyclists. Gigantic breakfast buffet and dinner salad bars. Bananas and cheese sandwiches provided as road snacks. Laundry service included. Staff is very friendly. Gisela was very responsive in all our pre-trip (and post-trip) communications. Cycling package includes 4 ride leaders to handle the group which was 20+ on some days. Van support on the classic climb days, gear drop at mountain top on other days. Improvements: in June 2017 the Wi-Fi was terrible, almost non existent. It may be better now.

We recently shared a wonderful 5 days at your hotel, enjoying your hospitality and riding in the local mountains. The food, staff service, guides and support were outstanding. Bormio itself is a charming little town and there are many local walks and shops. The hotel itself is perhaps a little tired but this is more than compensated for by the staff and setting. I expected that the meals may be below standard or repetitive but the food was great and service excellent! I highly recommend you to anyone interested in cycling.

I totally dig Hotel Funivia ever since I discovered it on one of my bike adventures almost 10 years ago. And it's been improving every year. Daniele, the owner is mega cyclist and skier — hence, the whole place caters to the needs of avid sportsmen. Free laundry service, wellness area, massage service, great food, guided bike tours and so much more. Unbeatable! Well, even better for skiers — the place is right next to the cablecart (hence the name Funivia) and the slopes end right in the hotel's backyard. So convenient! I totally recommend the place.

Great hotel, great staff, great cycling guides (very tolerant of my slow pace), great food, great dining room, great beer, great Aberol spritzes. It was all great.

Family hotel in a great location. Next to the ski lift (winter) and the bicycle tracks (summer) the owner is a bicycle enthusiast and the hotel is very friendly to riders. Rooms are large and comfortable and have a magical mountain view. They have a bicycle parking and offer bicycle rental. Their service is excellent. The staff is charming and courteous.

It's not bad and would deserve 4 stars. It has 4 beautiful toons and a small ramp for your kids and the pool fantastic but a little small.

Hotel in a good position as a point of support for visiting the Terme di Bormio. The rooms are clean and newly renovated, the staff is courteous is helpful.

Good value Food is really nice and staff is nice as well. Good location if you have children — you can reach the hotel directly with from the skiing area.

It's a great hotel. You can drive right from the ski slope.

It is a very cozy place with good food. Then it is very close to the cable car which allows you to ski without getting so much to arrive. Finally it has just a ski downhill in his backyard to get there without walking.

Have no words to express how great this place is! The staff is unbelievably kind, very helpfull and efficient. Food is excelent! We literally awaited dinner time every night and they always came up with such great options it was hard to pick just one. Location is increadible. You can go anywere on foot, and you are right in front of the ski piste. You can snowboard into the backyard! They have a spa with saunas and heated pool, facing the mountain! Amazing Experience.

Great Hotel Very close to the cable car and the city centre. Nice rooms and common areas. Wonderful space at the back to play, ski or go sledding! Great Restaurant Also.

The location is wonderful, at the base of a beautiful mountain. The rooms are clean and quiet. The front desk staff are knowledgeable and helpful and friendly. They went out of their way to help my daughter and me work through a lost-luggage issue. I went there to do some rigorous biking, and I loved being in the same space as the Stelvio Experience, with their amazing team, too. This hotel, its amenities and its staff all came together wonderfully for me.

Absolutely loved this place, I can't recommend it highly enough. The staff are so friendly and helpful, extremely bike friendly, delicious food and daily laundry service. This place is top notch and I'll definitely be back!

This is one of the nicest hotels that my wife and I have stayed in. The cycling, guides, staff, and owners are excellent. The hotel is very well taken care of, exceptionally clean, updated, beautiful spa, fantastic scenery, lovely grounds, pool etc. My wife is not a cyclist but really enjoyed her stay at this lovely hotel and beautiful town. The food is all included and it was fantastic as well. Really loved everything about this hotel. We just recommended to our friends.

At Funivia they know what their clients want on a bicycle holiday. There's a perfect bike-service an the personnel is friendly an understanding. For example we came back soaring wet and they spontaneous proposed us to dry our bicycle outfit and shoes. Super!

Great place x cyclists… with all the necessary amenities, workshop, assistance, laundry and much more… but great also x families, convenient location with large garden. In short a great place that I would happily recommend to cyclists and not…

We had a fabulous time. Our room was very large and clean with a fabulous view. Food was good. The staff we all extremely friendly. I felt like I was with family. My husband did the Stelvio Experience and loved it. Having laundry service was an added bonus. We highly recommend and will be returning Thank you.

Great experience in this hotel… Friendliness, cleanliness and all the comforts that one desires to have on holiday, heated swimming pool (you do the bath under a glass bell and outside there is snow), Sauna, Turkish bath, Scottish shower, solarium, massage, relaxation room, Baby room… Shall I continue? Gym, you will come with skis to the feet up on the stairs of the sky room which has heated security lockers, equipped with key to store your equipment and the nice feeling of finding your beautiful boots warm and dried… Restaurant… Every day of your holiday you will be able to taste typical dishes of the area, but also spectacular fish dishes, cooked with skill and detail by the excellent Chef, also excellent wines available… In short, whether you like skiing Lìinverno, but also dedicate yourself to summer sport, here you will find the environment that will make you feel in symbiosis with the surrounding nature… The owners are exquisite, kind and helpful people, ready to satisfy any plausible desire… Enjoy… :)

The best bike hotel in Bormio. The staff, the delicious food, the services, the accommodations; truly set the standard of how a bike hotel should be. I can't recommend this hotel enough. The bonus of having the Stelvio Experience Cycling Tour Company (cycling guides, ride snacks, van support, Cafe) included in our hotel rate was the icing on the cake. Daniele and the staff made our large cycling group feel so welcome that we're not sure we'll be able to match our experience anywhere else.

I just spent a wonderful weekend at Olympia. Everyone is friendly and helpful, the rooms are beautiful, the view is magnificent and the steack house serves veeery good! Nice experience that my husband, myself and our Granny we will repeat.

We returned yesterday from Bormio hotel Funivia, where for three years we spend our ski holiday at the Hotel cable car with two kids and Grandma. :)
Both my husband and I are avid skiers, we are practicing this sport since we were kids, and we shot a lot of hotels and many locations. We never had to go back to the same place so many times! Family atmosphere, beautiful rooms, great food, professionalism and kindness have made this hotel a second home for us. For kids whenever you arrive is a party and every time we leave down some tear.
