The hostel fully respects the photos, descriptions and services indicated. The staff are fabulous, very helpful and kind. Every day cleaning and privacy guaranteed. Prices for meals are honest. Biassa is very quiet, great place to rest. There are buses and shuttle services. Personally, I walked down to La Spezia and took only half an hour (doable). I recommend everyone to book this hostel.

Very nice place, at the reception I calmly explained everything in English twice as I forgot all the words very clean. From here you can get to Cinque Terre on a local shuttle (costs 1 euro one way) or rent a car and visit everywhere on your own. Buy Cinque Terre Card for 16 euros for 1 day — and free train rides along the route, use wai fai at stations and toilets.

A gem hostel: hidden up in the hills, locked away with the locals. The staff are SO friendly, ensuring you know how to get around and what you can see. The in-house cafe/bakery is also a nice addition! Definitely recommend.

A bit far away from La Spezia — but still a very nice and decent hostel. Food was amazing and staff was very nice and helpful.

The hostel is amazing, you can meet a lot of people on the terrace. The people that's is working of the hostel are very helpful. The rooms are clean and nice. The only thing that I didn't like is that there are only 3 showers for the upper floor. Everything else was just perfect.

In an old elementary school, the structure can look a bit spartiate. However, location is really convenient. Shuttle from there are organized in the morning to bring you to Romaggiore. Pick up in the evenings can be organized too. Otherwise a bus stop (15 min travel from city center) is located just in front of the guest house. There is a restaurant on the first floor. Not a lot of gluten free option unfortunately. Looked really nice though. Towel to rent for 1 euro. Really large lockers (big suitcase/backpack suits perfectly). Parking for free with plenty of space just right next door which is really convenient!

Great value for money. Just needs more life/atmosphere in the place among staff. They were very helpful though. Cleanliness and comfort were spot on.

I very much enjoyed my stay at this hostel. The staff were all extremely kind. The location was very clean as pictured. The rooms (I had a double room) were very spacious as well. The location is beautiful, situated in the hills of Biassa. It is about a 2 hour hike to Riomaggiore from here and it is well worth it. You can also schedule the shuttle to drop you off/pick you up in Riomaggiore. There are 3 morning shuttles and 4 night time shuttles that need to be scheduled beforehand and cost 1€ each way. Highly recommend staying here.

In a 4-bed room there were exactly 2 outlets. The bathrooms were dirty at any given day — or night time. Breakfast you had to pay and what you bid there gets far too overpriced. It was also nowhere a hint you had to pay for breakfast when we took breakfast we were imkindly annaused. The staff had no desire to help or serve us. We were also given incorrect directions. A star for free parking. The second star for the view from the ' living room ' down into the village. Completely durable for one night, but not for several days.

I did like this place a lot for its community, restaurant, and common area. That was unmatched in my experience in Europe. Plus, they give free shuttles to Cinque Terre and great instructions and directions. Much better than staying in Cinque Terre. That being said, there’s not much in Biassa. There are only two outlets in some rooms (not enough. ) Breakfast isn’t included, and while it’s cheap and tasty, it’s light. Know that ahead of time, and you’re good to go!

Fun place with a great staff. The dinners were very delicious, much better than I expected from a hostel! Have to bus or taxi from the train station up to the hostel. But it is a quick and easy shuttle to and from the Cinque Terre. Not a lot of shops or stores and no ATMs (as of October 2017) in Biassa so make sure to get what you need in the Cinque terre or la spazia.

From the very beginning the hosts at Ostello Tramonti were extremely accommodating. I had some complications with my train, which caused me to arrive 40 minutes later than the scheduled arrival time. They waited for me even though I arrived late at night. Once I arrived, they gave me great advice about how to plan my trips for the following day and explained how I could save some money getting around on the train. The host was extremely thorough in all of his descriptions. Ostello Tramonti conveniently served breakfast and provided a shuttle to Riomaggiore, where we could catch the train to all the 5 cities of Cinque Terre. The only downside was that the hostel was not located near the train station in La Spezia and the busses stopped running around 7pm. We had to take a taxi to get to the hostel but we only paid 20 Euro for 2 people so it wasn't too bad. The hostel was very affordable and we had a comfortable stay. We arrived late at night and were waking up early in the morning to start our hike so we weren't looking for anything fancy. We just needed a bed for the night. This hostel met our needs and they even showed us where we could store our belongings after check out. Overall I was pleased.

Great hostel with a very friendly and helpful staff. They have a restaurant with tasty and budget food. If you stay 3 nights or longer they offer their shuttle buses for free.

Good value for money. The hostel was really clean. Rooms were clean and organized. The only problem was that the hostel is near a sanctuary or church that rings its bells every half hour or so and even at night so we did not get a good night sleep.

A bit far from the main sights, but they have a shuttle that will take you to Riomaggiore (the southernmost of the 5 towns) in the morning and back in the evening (free if you're staying 3 or more nights, otherwise 1 euro each way). Rooms are spacious with comfortable beds and large lockers. Restaurant serves decent breakfast (bread, yogurt, fruit, coffee) for 4.50, Dinner options look good and affordable too, but I haven't had a chance to try them. Great common room and social atmosphere. Highly recommend for young travelers, as long as you're okay with the slight lack of flexibility in terms of planning your day.

Well, I missed the bus from La Spezia to Biassa but luckily I had 3 kind ladies who despite not being able to speak in English, they pointed me to the correct bus stop. Pheww. Finally got on the bus and it stopped in front of the hostel. I fell in love with this small town. As for the hostel, it exceeded my expectations. Beautiful and cosy common room with equally beautiful view. I met many people and ended up talking about everything! Dare I say cute dining area with its own restaurant. Delicious food with generous portion. I enjoyed breakfast as well. Comfortable bed, spacious room. It also provides shuttle bus (return trip) to Riomaggiore. Though it's advisable to make bookings the night before. In a nutshell, must stay here if one is planning to go to Cinque Terre.

Excellent place to stay while you visit the Cinque Terre. Affordable, up in the hills but accessible by bus from La Spezia or Riomaggiore and the hostel also runs a shuttle service to/from Riomaggiore which is very handle. Plan to eat dinner and breakfast here, the cook is friendly and the food is amazing. Can't wait to come back :)

Friendly staff, good shuttle service and the price is as good as you'll get to stay in the cinque terre. Didn't try the restaurant but heard it was delicious.

Pretty cool hostel! They run their shuttle down to Riomaggiore frequently so no worries getting there! In the morning there is a nice view from their terrace! Wifi was good, the whole place clean and the staff super nice and helpful! Also the restaurant upstairs is really worth to check out! If they got the ingredients, they will probably also do some special dishes on request ;)

Ostello Tramonti is a great hostel. I would give it 5 stars out of 5 of the internet/Wi-Fi was better. Everything else is great other than that.

The location to Riomaggiore isn't too far. The shuttle runs often enough to get you to and from the Cinque Terre. The rooms usually have no more than 4 people and the hostel in general is very clean. Also, the restaurant within the hostel is excellent! I highly recommend eating there at least once. The staff is also general helpful. Overall, I would stay here again know what I know now.

Excellent hostel! Very comfortable; the distance a so Terre is not a problem for the traffics q take you and bring. Missed the walk from Biassa to Portovenere!

Location is actually good even though it seems far. There are always shuttles running at opportune times. The staff is great and I met some amazing people there.

Very good experience, provided all information needed to go to the 5 villages. Good food, the cook is a great person and so is rest of the staff. I would definitely recommend for travelers to stay at this hostel. Thank you!

Great choice if you want to see Cinque Terra without paying double for staying in Cinque Terra itself. The hostel is pretty clean and quiet overall. The service is excellent though. They run a daily shuttle to and from Monterossa (the first town) to pickup and drop of people as needed. Its great if you're traveling alone on a budget.

Stayed here for three days at the beautifully located hostel in the mountains overlooking La Spezia. Unless you’re not up for an adventure and are coming from the train station, listen to the hostel when they say in the email confirmation: “Don’t try walking from La Spezia train station to the hostel. ” Take their advice hahaha and coordinate with the buses on getting up the mountain. Otherwise, the road gets very steep and windy near the top and have little trails that cut through the road to avoid snaking up the mountain. The walk overall is, relatively. Arduous, but doable. The atmosphere of the hostel is very warm and the staff are helpful, warm and engaging. The hostel offers convenient transport to the Cinque Terre and the entrance to the trail to Portovenere is close by. I did not eat dinner at the hostel, though I regret not doing so, the smells were lovely and affordable in cost, and the breakfasts were excellent.
