Ca de lAse in Q&A

Information is provided based on reviews and may contain inaccuracies.

Where is Ca de lAse located and how to get there?

The hotel is located in a picturesque setting in Colletto di Giusvalla, surrounded by nature and chestnut forests, away from tourist routes. To get there, you need to drive along a dirt road about 900 meters long, passing through a wooded area. Some guests mention that the road can be dark and not always easy, and that cars with low ground clearance (such as a Golf 7 Variant) may scrape the bottom, so it is recommended to drive slowly and carefully.

What is the staff like and how do they welcome guests?

Guests describe the owner, Federica, as an exceptionally kind, welcoming, attentive, and sensitive person, calling her a "magical fairy". The staff creates a very warm, almost family-like atmosphere, similar to visiting relatives in the countryside. Employees are happy to share tips on walks in the Beigua Park and introduce guests to the area and its animals.

What kind of breakfasts are offered at Ca de lAse?

The breakfasts are described as wonderful, varied, and abundant, made with natural local products. The menu includes homemade jams, cakes, cookies, yogurt, eggs, and butter, as well as delicious tea and herbal infusions. Guests especially appreciate that the owner herself prepares many of the dishes, creating a cozy and convivial atmosphere during meals.

What can be said about the rooms and amenities?

The rooms are spacious, with comfortable beds, and a separate annex creates a very cozy, retro atmosphere. However, there are some nuances: in the annex, the bed may be on a mezzanine floor, accessible by a ladder, which may not be suitable for all guests; in this case, a sofa bed is offered, which some found to be small and uncomfortable. Also, one guest noted that it was too hot in the room on a hot day and recommended using a fan.

Are there animals on the property and can I bring my pets?

The hotel is a true paradise for animal lovers: there are friendly dogs, donkeys, chickens, and geese that guests love. It is possible to bring pets, but one guest reported difficulties: due to the fact that the owner's three dogs are always free, it was impossible to walk with your own dog on a leash. The owner's dogs could bark at the door of the room, which was uncomfortable for some visitors.

What additional services and leisure areas are there in the hotel?

A special highlight of the place is the outdoor sauna, which guests highly recommend, especially on cool autumn evenings after walks in the mountains. There are well-maintained green areas, gardens, and the opportunity to enjoy the starry sky away from the light pollution of cities.

What is the overall atmosphere in the hotel?

This is a place for complete relaxation, slowing down, and reconnecting with nature. Guests describe the atmosphere as harmonious, quiet, and authentic, allowing you to completely disconnect from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. It is ideal for those seeking solitude, peace, and a simple rural lifestyle.
