To stay with Giuliano is to truly experience Cinque Terre. He has his foot firmly placed in the past, creating a deeper context of the area and its roots. He's a salty, authentic character who wears his heart on his sleeve. He's opened up his home and his heart to travelers with the most genuine intentions to know you and share his culture with you. It's possible he'll do most of the talking, but you're not there to hear yourself talk, you're there to observe, absorb, and learn. Take my advice… Get off the phone, have confidence of where you are, walk to the Blue Marlin for a pint or a glass of local wine, and ask for Giuliano. He'll show up as though you've sent out the bat signal and he'll escort you to his beautifully crafted bungalows, just past his perfect gardens. Do treat his space with respect, do not roll your bags across the incredible floors, and do take a moment to drink in the view from every angle of town. (Il Pirata is the best spot for incredible breakfast such as ricotta-filled croissants, espresso, and amazing dinner options). We will be back.

Spectacular. Absolutely wonderful property perfectly located in the hills of Vernazza. Stunning view of the Mediterranean in the distance, rooms are so wonderfully hand crafted and unique, and the owner could not be more gracious and helpful. And so reasonably priced for the location and for everything they offer. Simply amazing! Pro Tip — treat this beautiful place like your own home (as one should anytime they travel! ), as the owner understandably is very proud and protective of his place.

Giuliano offers the best of hospitality and cultural connection. He has prepared his beautifully kept cameres with love. He has poured his life into this place. He enjoys sharing his town of Vernazza, its fantastic views, its food, people and stories — and Giuliano likes it when you share who you are in a friendly exchange. This is no mere hotel. It is a place for welcoming, mutual appreciation and respect for host and travelers alike.
