Lovely hotel with a fantastic view.
Nice breskfast buffet.

Spectacular panorama, however a little isolated, you have to organize according to the shuttle.
Friendly room although we had a problem with the ants but then they solved us.
Overall, it is acceptable when you consider costs as well.
There is room for improvement.

By far the best European hotel I have encountered so far! Absolutely amazing views of all 5 of the Cinque Terre villages! Air conditioning in rooms! Space! No broom closet bathrooms! Nice people, great breakfast! Free shuttle down the mountain into the village. Just perfect!

Great hotel with the friendliest staff. Bus shuttle a gem always on time and don't worry if there are more people than places he will come up or down again. Highly recommend just for the views.

The most beautiful point of view on the Gulf of poets. We see it from all 5 land. Moreover it is a very comfortable hotel with a very good buffet for breakfast.

Perfect place to stay at Monterosso.

A super hotel with fantastic views of the cinque terre. Are here for the second time and not the last time. The staff very friendly. You can leave your car standing all the holiday. There is an hour-long free shuttle to and from the hotel into the night. Where do you already have something like that. Otherwise, great rail connections in all directions. The hiking trails are also breathtaking and challenging. It never gets boring. The right region for romantics and nature lovers.

Small sunny April stay with walks and small swimming in the Cinque Terre. Beautiful and relaxing at the beginning of tourist period. Staff of the hotel always charming and smiling.

This is by far the worst room we had during our vacation in Italy. We have saved Monterosso until the end of our trip. We booked a standard room based on the photos we have seen. We paid 160 euros per night thinking that the standard room would not be too standard based on the price however it was below standard. We had no balcony no view, very small bathroom with the toilet almost stuck to the wall. Everytime you move in the shower you would hit the tap (because it is that small) and you would either switch the water off or changes temperature. The room itself had absolutely no character stuck in the 70s style. The moment we walked in we were completely shocked and asked to be moved to a sea view room. Without any sense of apathy we were told "we are booked out". Now moving to the hotel. This place is set on a just below the tip of a mountain, the view is nice however it is very hard to walk to town as it is very steep and exhausting. There are buses that operate hourly however you are left at the mercy of the bus drivers and you better hope they are not rude or didn't have a fight with thier spouses as that would reflect on their driving. The staff were completely out of warmth. A complete lack of customer sympathy considering that getting to montersosso by car and to that hotel is like 'challenge completed'. There are many negative things to write, however the moral of the story is what we say in Australia 'complete rip off'. Hope this helps. Cheers.

Spectacular view on a private hill away from the busy beach. The view was enough to make it worth the stay for me, but beware this hotel is not for everyone. Its recommended to take the free hotel shuttle bus down the extremely narrow winding driveway (do not plan on driving in and out of here easily). The room was ok, breakfast was ok. If you appreciate having a lovely view of the cinque terre out your hotel window and willing to make a few cutbacks this is your spot!

Wow! I have NEVER had a more INhospitable stay anywhere, ever in my life! My family and another couple brought some bread and cheese back to the hotel and borrowed 5 plates from the breakfast room. The woman at the desk found us and was furious — we should have asked her! We apologized profusely — we told her we had no idea that we should have asked her (no signs against it) and we were very sorry. A few minutes later while we were in the lobby, she came back and was still furious and told us in ALL her years, NOTHING like this had EVER happened and she could not believe how rude we were to have used the plates without asking. I was mortified and apologized once again. My friend finally interrupted Barbara and said "You have made yourself clear, you have berated us, we have apologized, there is nothing else we can do — we would NEVER treat a guest in our house like this". And amazingly enough, a few minutes later, Barbara repeated her fury once again. I could not wait to leave that hotel and would NEVER stay there again. There were a number of other hotel guests that witnessed this and chatted with us about it. They too, were shocked.

Hotel located in height. Great views of Monterosso provided you ask 1 room with view of the sea. The staff is friendly, welcoming, RAS… Buffet well stocked, clean and well equipped rooms. Free to go to the village or go back to the hotel shuttles. Recommend.

Very cozy and nice place. The stuff is wonderful and facilities are rather good. Sea view is the main selling point and it worth it. Nevertheless it's rather tricky to get in and out of the hotel. The shuttle bus is going down to the town and up to the hotel every hour. So if you miss one you will wait another hour or go by foot. Climbing the mountain can be not very pleasant. Also I had problems with internet connection as password is valid during 24 hours and only for one device. So you need to log out every time and ask for more passwords if you have more than one device. But still our vacation in Monterosso al Mare was wonderful.
