Bocca di Leone/Spanish Steps The Positive: The apartment was clean, large enough for 7 people, in a good (safe) neighborhood and very close to everything — Spanish Steps, Metro, Piazza del Popolo. Lots of cafes, restaurants and shops around. Walking distance to the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, the Vatican, Colosseum and Forum. The Negative:
— The guy who check us in was not very friendly.
— The city tax (VAT) was due upon arrival (this info was not shared with us, otherwise we would have prepared by bringing extra cash to cover).
— The airport transportation that was arranged for us was not prepaid with the credit card we used so we had to use more of our cash to cover that.
— There are 2 bathrooms, but one of the showers was broken. We messaged the company about it and they said they would send someone to fix it, but we never heard anything back, even when we followed up by email. Upon arriving back home one of the employees said "at least you had a bathtub. " We did not use the tub because it took too long to fill up and used all of the hot water. Some very frustrating issues that could be cleared up with better communication.

Very afforable appartment in the vibey Campo di Fiori neighbourhood. You feel like you have your own special retreat from all thw crowds of tourists. 300m away from the square with about 15 restaurants & pubs. Highly recommended for staying 3+ nights in the heart of historic Rome. Absolutely loved this place.

DO NOT BOOK through this company. Paid over $3000 AUD for 15 nights which is $200 AUD per night and on arrival go into appartment and it is falling apart. Sofa bed was broken, bath plug would not lift up and bath filled with water during showering, latches on windows missing so could not latch shutters close, got stuck inside apartment as deadbolt on front door is broken, fixtures around doors and kitchen bench falling off, shower curtain extremely stained and dirty, mould around bath. Called property and they did come and fix the issues but when we asked for some compensation they offered us 50euro off our stay which is not nearly enough for the amount of stress and inconvenience that it caused. Staff on phone stated that they were only small issues which may be true but when you are paying over $200 AUD per night you do not expect to come into an apartment that is less than satisfactory and has faulty equipment. Photos of this appartment look amazing but I can tell you that it is nothing like the photos and is definitely not up to a standard in which they should be charging $200+ AUD per night for people to stay in this property. Only plus about this property is its location and proximity to all tourist spots and amenities.

Very nice stuff, best location in Rome!
