We had an awful time and left early because of it. The guesthouse is much more of a student hostel type of accommodation. The rooms small, the bathrooms were dirty and fittings were broken. There was a lot of noise every morning which woke us up. All air-conditioning and extractor fans were broken and the staff were rude and unresponsive.

I booked 3 rooms for my family and myself to stay for 4 nights. We ended up only occupying 2 rooms (my aunts were so appalled by the communications, they refused to come to the guesthouse and decided to book a hotel in the historical centre). Even though I paid for 3 rooms, I initially only received keys to 2 of them which I am very confused about — one room for my dad and one for myself and fiance to share. The rooms were so noisy and sub-par that we decided to pay more money to stay elsewhere and moved out after 2 nights. The tiny (and I mean it, around half a meter x half a meter) showers in the bathrooms were all covered in mould. I requested the keys of the third room (I had already paid for) so that I could have a clean shower. They eventually handed the keys over on the 3rd morning. Unfortunately this room's bathroom mould was worse and extractor fan was broken — the room felt very lived in and Wi-Fi connection even worse, we decided to move out after this. Not only could we hear the front desk women chattering and laughing loudly throughout the mornings, we could hear the vacuum banging around in the foyer. Zero soundproofing. There were dead ceiling lights and extremely poor Wi-Fi reception in the 2 rooms we occupied. The concierge was dismissive and unaccommodating — all in all the worst accommodation booked on our trip.

Guest house with boutique hotel atmosphere, beautifully designed and decorated and with nice people.
The building is safe and in an ideal and excellent location, very close and between two metro stations (Ottaviano and Lepanto), just 10 minutes away from the Vatican City. Very close to restaurants and cafes.
The room, bathroom and other areas are very clean. Comfortable bed and comfortable sleep. Breakfast is very good. Cookies and delicious croissants every day.
The hosts, Marina and Paola, are friendly, kind and extremely helpful. They made us feel at home.
We highly recommend the Penta Luxury House and would be happy to stay there again.
