Best hostel Ive ever been to! so social and such Lovley staff! definately recommend to anyone!

The bathrooms are a bit difficult to navigate as there is not a flat surface in sight to put your bathroom bag down on. Nowhere to hang laundry which is only a problem if you’re in the middle of a long backpack. The rooms are large and spacious but the lockers don’t fit standard locks. Otherwise nice amenities and staff were friendly. The location is super convenient for transit but the streets smell like pee and I didn’t feel safe walking in the area alone at night.

Very nice and kind staff. The beds were very small and not enough space to sit on your bed. The ground was always dirty in the showers… Roommates very rude and annoying. Never again. They dont know how to be quiet if somebody else sleeps.

Air conditioning didn't do anything so was too hot. Room 207 was also awkward because it opened onto the main reception area which you had to walk through in order to get to bathrooms. It was clean though. If I had been in a different room location with better air conditioning it would have been much better. Stayed at the Alessandro palace as well and much preferred it.

This was a very nice place to stay for the price. I shared a room with 8 people and they were all very pleasant and respectful of your belongings. The accomodation is clean which is the most important. The only issue I had were that the lockers were very hard to lock there was a back to them. The bedding was also not changed the entire time I was there which was 4 nights. Other places I have stayed at have been much better on upkeep of bedding etc changing everyday. The lift was also very small can only fit 2 people in max and with luggage it's a very tight squeeze. The other alternative is to drag everything up the flights of stairs which isn't an issue if you don't have much luggage.

Great Hostel for solo travelers or those traveling in groups. They have a nice open kitchen availible. The showers are clean and the rooms are spacious with a table and chairs provided. Great common area near lobby with TV, outlets, and fun group activities like free drinks and snacks every other day. Price was alright, I'd give this one a try.

Typical hostel, very well run. They organize events for people so you'll have something to do at night and will meet people easily.

Upon first impressions, the hostel was great. The bathrooms are quite nice for a hostel and the 5 or 6 stalls have both a toilet and a shower (quite nice as well as clean). On a more negative note, the beds don't seem clean, and I have bug bites on my arms and torso (i don't think they are bed bugs). This place would be great if they get new beds, clean the sheets more and clean the comforters. They promote a pretty party heavy lifestyle (which is fine but not my speed). This does lead to some late nite entrances of drunken roommates etc.

Backpakers Style hostel, located near the Termini station, which is favorable for the traveler, there is also the option to buy breakfast at a cost of 4 euros, which is a convenient price for the sector. It is shared room with other travelers, which on occasion can be somewhat unlike but for the price is good. In general the relationship is good quality. A recommended place if you need to be close to the bus/train station.

The room was clean and the breakfast was very good.

The hostel has the basic services to offer an economic and short residence, only have a 4-bath area for all genres, this is relevant considering that there are approximately 5 rooms and each room can accommodate up to 8 Guests, offer a breakfast buffet for 4 euros which is not bad to save, as far as the subject of costs depends on the website where you make your reservation as not all include local taxes which is something you will have to pay at the front desk, the staff is very friendly and speaks English and Italian.

Check in to an hostel, check out of home. Initially I've planned to stay here for a few days while I was looking for a room to rent, in the end I've stayed about 3 months in total, it was very convenient, the university could be reached on foot, the kitchen is fully equipped, the staff very friendly and the common area is huge and great for socializing, but also cozy for loners that need to study or work, 100% recommended!

Alessandro Hostel is the best option in terms of quality/price ratio that you can have in the neighbors around the termini station. If you are a young person this is your hotel. Cool things: — Friendly staff, Cheap, Clean, social events and parties. Bad things : — You have to pay if you want anything else extra than the room (breakfast, door lock, double key, kitchen access, social events and parties…)

People are great. It had a good atmosphere with the other guests. The lockers in the rooms couldn't lock with any of our 3 different padlocks. They had workmen doing renovations outside our room the whole time and they had access to our rooms to do their job. However that meant our room could be accessed by anyone. Difficult to make dinner at night because there was limited utensils.

The best hostel I have ever been! The location is great and the atmosphere in the hostel is amazing! Rooms and bathrooms very clean and the stuff so lovely, especially Ovens, he gave us lots of information and was very helpful!

A good experience overall during my time in Rome! The staff was friendly and the location was great. There are lots of restaurants within walking distance and it's very easy to get around Rome using public transportation with Termini so close by.

Near Transit area, as soon I got off the train it was only a five minute walk. Staff was super friendly, and the rooms were nice and spacious. I have no complaints about this hostel at all. I was suppose to be meeting a friend from London, she missed her flight… super happy I got this accommodation. Met tons of people and I even went out with them, got breakfast together, etc. Bathrooms were clean, staff was super super friendly, and they make sure that you have the best accommodation. I had the best time in Rome, and staying here made my stay 10 times better. Will definitely stay here again if ever in Rome. Its about a 15 minute walk to the Colosseum, tons of shops & restaurants nearby, you're going to love it.

One of the best hostels I've stayed at in a long time. Really good location, spacious rooms and super good common area with a great social vibe. Unfortunately we were roomed with a half human/half tractor that snored so loud and made sleeping near impossible. When we requested a room change, the staff went above and beyond to make sure my friend and I were happy. Not only did we get to change rooms free of charge, we also got a free upgrade which was so unexpected and unnecessary but hugely appreciated. Highly recommended staying here!

Rod was actually quite great! He's one of the only staff members that I really liked and I felt like he was genuinely helpful (: however, I had a very bad experience. When I got to my room, some other girl was sleeping on my bed and the only other bed available had already been used (bed sheets were all crumbled up) and this happened at like 2 am. When I told the guy at the reception, he simply gave me new sheets and called it a day. The second day everyone's bed had been made except for mine. This was very upsetting. Because if there's one expectation that I have of all hostels or hotels, is that they provide me with a CLEAN BED. That's what you pay for. I could care less about the restrooms, etc. I just really wanted a clean bed to sleep in. And I didn't get that. I'm quite disappointed really, because the actual rooms are spacious and it would've been great if it wasn't for that one factor. But it is the most important factor! How unfortunate… Only reason I didn't give it a one star is Rod! : (

Beds were comfortable, but the room was very warm even for the end of September. Good location being close to the train station and nearby metro stops. Friendly staff, lockers available, luggage room with luggage lockers (charged at 2 euros for 12 hours) if you need it and clean bathrooms. Lively Friday night entertainment in the hostel itself, which was nice, but also a bit loud when we decided to try and get some sleep. Pretty good place.

It was fine, the staff do their job and is clean. The noises of the streets can be heard from the rooms. As long as I could see that is the average quality of the hostels. The street where is located does not look so nice, but is safe. A great advantage is that is located a couple of blocks away of the main train station of Rome. And landmarks like the Colosseum and the Vatican are located like 3 or 4 km away.

The hostel is great… Especially it's very near to the Roma Termini station… The service is good. The rooms are neat and tidy… But the only problem I faced was we need to buy locks for the lockers in our room. This is too much… But if you bring your lock it's okay… I find this a little bit awkward.

I got upgraded from a 10-person mixed gender dorm to an all female 6 — person dorm. The dorm was very spacious and clean. There were outlets right next to all the bunks, which was convenient. Great location — 5 minutes from Roma Termini and 15 minutes to the Roman Forum. Both of which were very easy to navigate to. Air conditioned at night, which was a must in the August heat. There are lockers you can rent for €2, if you arrive before check in. I booked a tour of the Vatican Museums theough the hostel that was fantastic! I recommend!

The hostel was great! Comfortable clean beds, one plug right by each bed (so convenient) nice staff, kitchen had a fridge to store my food and all beds had a locker. I brought a lock, so it was free. Washroom was clean, water was hot. I stayed only one night and I'm very satisfied!

Homeless Flophouse! That's disgusting!

It's ok, the rooms are clean and there's lockers and AC. But I felt the other Alessandro hostel north of Termini had a better vibe since there's more common area and a bar and restaurant on the ground floor. They close the dining/kitchen area around midnight so you're out of luck if you get back late and wanna cook yourself something.

Very near the station Termini. The hostel is located in two or three floors of a building which makes it pretty uncomfortable because you can get a room in an apartment different from the reception. The elevator is too small for so many people, it is often necessary to use the ladder. The attention is regular, the breakfast acceptable and them baths guys e uncomfortable.

I went to Alessandro Downtown Hostel for drinks at the bar as a part of the bar crawl hosted by Four Seasons Hostel. The bar staff were very friendly and there was a great atmosphere in the bar. I would highly recommend going on the bar crawl purely for the social aspect of it. My travel buddy and I met some great people who we ended up sightseeing with all day the next day and going out again with them on the night.

Lockers in the room didn't work, and the Wi-Fi was a little wonky. Good washroom and shower facilities though. The breakfast is not worth 4 euros — it's very bland. For the price though, it was acceptable. I really like the staff; they were able to answer all our touristy questions.

The truth is that the hostel found me spectacular, with all the comforts and above all very clean. Note: the breakfast is unbeatable.

Stayed here for 4 nights in 6beds room. The facilities are good, I didn't like boring breakfast but it's free. :) Some noisy at night and a lot smoking guys from the front of hostel came inside bedroom.

It has a great location near Termini station. The staff is super friendly and it's a great space! The only thing that could be improved is letting visitors know when events are being cancelled.

Friendly 24 hour staff who speak English, lockers where you can store your stuff securely, including before you can check in and a for a little while after you check out, cheap breakfast and events in the evening throughout the week. The beds are comfortable and the other guests were friendly. In the evening the kitchen was lively with guests cooking there meals and there is a fridge to store leftovers. Great location, price and service!

Very close proximity to the train station. It's not amidst the historic landmarks that you'll surely want to see, but close enough. The staff was friendly and I had a really good time.

Located very close to the train station! I stayed in the 8-bed female dorm. Simple, but clean, surprisingly comfy bunk bed. Reasonably priced. Downside, you do need your own lock for the room lockers and the Wi-Fi is dreadful! However, the staff were very helpful when we asked about getting to various sites, and check in/out was speedy! Overall, would recommend for a few nights stay!

Had a wonderful stay here. The first night the guy at the front desk gave me a discount, but then when I extended my stay they didn't honor it. Clean hostel and a great place to meet people. I would definitely return.

Good clean hostel! A few annoyances: Firstly, we upgraded to a double room which actually had two single beds pushed together. Secondly, the first room we were in had an alarm outside that kept going off and the staff didn't do much about it! Otherwise a perfectly good place in a great location right next to the station!

Several power outages in July, had to get new key cards twice, and besides being near the station, location isn't great. But it was clean and nice front desk.

Good hostel, clean and air conditioned rooms. Plenty of social events. Downtown is more chilled, while their sister Palace hostel is more party. Recommended. Downfalls, expensive bag storage and washing, plus no bag storage in the rooms so honesty system which worries some.

Clean and full accessories, free drink once a week, but make sure to get a 4 bed room.

This place is the WORST. Unfriendly and unhelpful staff, id tell you what happened but you wouldnt believe it. Do yourself a favor and stay at yellow around the corner.

I stayed there 6 nights in a 6 bed dorm. positive: +friendly staff +considerable breakfast (but you have to pay for it) +lockers in the room +free Wi-Fi +lift +close to the Termini station +well furnished bathrooms, but not always so clean +enough space in the room, with tables and chairs +chic lobby, good for meeting new people and preparing for going out +they offer events and activities negative: -breakfast was a bit expensive to me -it's not in a nice neighbourhood located All in all I would go there again and can definitely recommend it. It's good for young people.

I stayed in Alessandro Hostel from Saturday 9th to Friday 15th of August 2014. I made an upgrade on Wednesday 13th so I would stay on a private room for my last night. Therefore I used my HSBC debit card twice TO PAY IN THIS PLACE during MY WHOLE TRIP. I never use my card so I keep a lot of control. Nevertheless as I came back home and checked my Bank Account on Saturday the 16th, someone had used my card and removed 1000 EUROS from INDONESIA and ITALY. Please be very carful in this place! They are cloning cards and very fast removing as much money as they can.

Excellent hostel, located near the terminal termini, very attentive and friendly staff, the private room is very comfortable and everything was very clean, in a next opportunity we will not hesitate in staying at the.

Average hostel. Pretty sure they don't wash their doonas for the beds, no covers. Hot water is a rarity. Lockers aren't suitable for backpacking. Lacks the necessities of hostels such as lamps, powerpoints. Wouldn't recommend staying here but if you want a cheap stay and somewhere close to the station, that's what this hostel has going for it.

Excellent location, close to the station termini, metro and transport public, the staff is friendly and always willing to help, they accept credit cards, I have no complaints.

A nice cheap place close to the station. Good for students and backpackers to stay at a cheap price. As it is just a 10 minute walk to the main station, you can easily go all round the city. Added benefits, you get a 6hr free Wi-Fi included in the price. The hostel also organizes parties and tours for a nominal price.
