Experience on the edge of the scam. I book, they confirm, but then they send an email saying that my card has been refused, without giving any reason. Obviously my card was valid and had the necessary amount for payment. They invite me to give another card, but I had no other cards and I was hundreds of miles away to go on eye examinations of a certain severity. Displaced by the email, I phone the facility to figure out what the problem was detected on my card, and to save the reservation, but although they pride them on being a luxury property, they never answered the phone. Worried and anxious that I would not find another place to sleep, I book another facility, because I had to continue all my medical visits with serenity. After a few days, I find out they charged me the penalty on the card they refused! Unbelievable, right? A card that was rejected suddenly becomes valid for withdrawing money. They did not send any cancellation emails, and they continued to never answer the phone, not even to the Booking operators to whom I reported the incident. Incorrect, conceited, and bad, because the official reason for the penalty you know what it is? Not rejected paper (they didn't have the courage to write it), but for no show. But I kept the email telling me that the card was rejected.
