➜ We stayed in we in rome for a couple of days to be able to visit the Castelporziano estate. The place is quiet with convenient parking. We had a great time. Only flaw … without navigator we would never get there because there is not even a sign that tells you where to go.
Worst B&B experience in Europe for us in May 2015. Check in — owner comes leaves for 24 hours. No info for Wi-Fi. Cahirs are supermarket plastic. Little soap. Many calls to owner's home, they couldn't give Wi-Fi password. Owner shoes up. We say we are unhappy. He invited us to leave. We book a hotel in downtown Rome. He gets us a cab because nobody here speaks English. We get to nice hotel, he contacts us and demands money for another day, after he said we could go. We say "No Way". He says he is calling the Police. Then a while later he threatens us by phone text with THEFT of Bath Towels. His housekeeper had not bothered to look in the only bath drawer… where we put them. I am sure they found those clean towels, but he did not even appologise. All this is after he changed our paid reservation from his family home in a nice green lawn setting with a living room, dining room and many amenities, and his Mom's cooking. The change was beause he needed to let a more important guest have that place. DO NO STAY Here!
