The location is great (although it can be a tricky place to find at first). I stayed in a shared room that had plenty of space, the bathrooms are huge, the kitchen a bit small but was never packed, and everything was clean. However, this is a very modest hostel/hotel. If you're looking for a place to sleep after a day of walking around, this is good value.

The location is excellent, the place is very clean and those who cater are very attentive.

The Worst Inn of my life! Party man with little humanity and not smart. Cleanliness more than limit. Prices higher than expected on the sites. Anyway, don't go!

Despite the fact that it’s one of the more affordable hotels in Venice, as everything is very expensive — I would NEVER stay here again. Very prison like room with horrible furniture. The room was so poorly ventilated with this horrible moist air. Also to top all of that I got bed bugs from the hotel and managed to bring it to back to my own house! Do yourself a favor and book a more decent place.

Location is good for the price, 5 minutes walk to San Marcs and 3 to San Seb. The hostel is basically an old apartment building where the apartments rooms are rented out, we had a nice spacious room in the main building, the other building was worn out and the staff was friendly and changed the room. The beds are basic but clean. The sheets are replaced every three days, and the apartments are cleaned daily, but we kept our room closed when we're not there. The staff are generally helpful and friendly, they recommended a very good restaurant around the corner from the hostel and was great.

Venice Hazel Guest House is a quaint hostel which is located outside of many of the City's major landmarks. The owner is very respectful and considerate, especially to guest who offer him the same courtesy. I highly recommend a stay here to travelers who are looking for a budget stay on the island. Like most of Venice, however, the hostel can be difficult to find. If this is the case locals or hotels will help you locate it (or, you can simply call the owner). Again, this hostel is worth a visit for those looking for a peaceful stay in Venice at a decent price.

The location is great but what is really annoying is the cleaning stars at 7:00am and wakes you up. The place is ok but until they understand their customer they are very bad.

We were in a room in a building separate from the main hotel. It had good air conditioning and a private bathroom which was unexpected! Only problem: the Wi-Fi did not extend to the room, only available in the corridor. Very good overall however.

First, place is not correctly spotted in Google Maps. We were warned of being charged in case we were late. We wrote back the hostel to explain that we were delayed because of our transport. However, once we got the hostel we were told they had not received our email. They charged also with 5€ for sheeds, and 1, 5€ for citizen taxes… I understand It, but It was not properly displayed on the website. Furthermore, despite the Hot, se just were given with 2 electric fans. We ended up so dissapointed.

The staff was helpful and the rooms were nice.

The rooms are not inviting at all and the furniture isn't very modern. Bathrooms are decently clean though I saw a puddle of yellow in the corner of one of the showers. Not sure what it was. Breakfast is decent, consisting of packaged croissants, jam, yogurt, coffee, and tea. Location is great.
