Hotel in an exceptional location, practically 50 meters from St. Mark's Square and 30 from the bridge six sisiers.
The structure would need a nice restoration: worn carpeting, non-functioning electrical sockets (beware of uncovered wires), non-functioning radios, bedside tables of a certain age.
The room also had a beautiful balcony on which I thought to make a small aperitif but the strong smell coming from the kitchen of a restaurant below and the lack of the fridge led me to go out.
Breakfast in the norm (Italian).
Kind staff. Too bad at 5 a. M. The safe alarm sounded by waking me up. Dropped in reception I was told they would call a technician (which of course you didn't see). In short, for this discomfort I expected at least a small discount but nothing, "these things happen".

Amazing hotel, we were on almost the top floor with a nice roof terrace, right in the heart of the action just off the main square. Will definitely stay again. The hotel feels very 1950s but in a good way, the stair climb at the end of the day never ruined the vibe, the incredible patio area with plants and it’s own lizard really was a delight to chill out in. A thoroughly enjoyable, affordable, central location. Thank you everyone at the hotel.

The staff do the best but the facilities are very deteriorated: plugs, bathroom accessories, wallpapers, air conditioning. The air conditioner turns it on and regulates from the reception. There'S Little ventilation. Internet is cut every moment and you have to be a computer professional to connect. Amazing that for the money I paid this service is provided.

Cute little hotel in an alley not far from St. Mark's Square. Ask for room 403 or 402 with terrace! Very nice welcome.

Very well located. Adjacent to San Marco Square. However, the hotel has no lift and the stairs are narrow. We had tough time to get the luggage on the third floor. Hotel could be cleaner and the owners of the hotel may improve the entrance as the lane on which the hotel stands is congested and dirty.

Great location, which is what the 2 stars is for. It's about 50meters from San Marcos Square. Otherwise, I wouldn't give any stars. First, to get to reception you climb a flight of stairs, there are no elevators in hotel at all. Second, we had a room in a separate building from reception. Another 4 flights of stairs with luggage you can imagine is quite frustrating. The room was outdated and dirty. Very disappointing. Venice was still beautiful despite the hotel.

It was a very nice Hotel. Very recommended. Also very nice rooms.

A normal hotel According to the stars that classify it. The staff is excellent. A small remark, in the room where I stayed there was no Wi-Fi.

At the turn of Plaza San Marcos and very well located for the Baporetto. It has steep staircase throughout the hotel and the rooms are not as spacious but they are comfortable. Good price, location and quality.

A romantic Hotel… a fair, rich and varied breakfast. A wonderfully sweet attention like her. Beautiful person. Maybe a little lack of ventilation the sector where I slept my son did not possess ventilation. The only thing to be all carpet and clothed is not suitable for alèrgicos. (as my son and husband Q had a bad). I love the place.

Very disappointed on this hotel as it's located down an alleyway, bedrooms are so out of date as my husband and I choose this designation for our honeymoon thinking of such a lovely hotel according to images on line. The pictures on line and the real life didn't match. Breakfast was horrible. Please accept my word I wouldn't like this to happen anyone else as we couldn't wait to get home. The day before we came back to Ireland we moved to a different hotel which was fabulous.

Hotel a few steps from St. Mark's Square, the room I stayed in was located on the fifth floor, small but very cozy and clean. The staff is nice and helpful. Breakfast in the standard. Among the things I have satisfied less are the Wi-Fi which requires access after a few minutes of inuse and then the need to keep the slip with username and password at hand and the hot water that was only lukewarm but having been only one night I did not have to Received opportunity to check whether the problem was systematic or not. Overall I recommend it.

The place was not as they explained the pictures. The reception in a street. The room in another and for breakfast elsewhere. All x narrow and steep staircases. Dirty and careless environments. Very small room!

What can I say, bride of sights is 20m away, upper room with balcony are nice and well spend money. Come and get lost in venice.

An ideal location (near St. Mark's Square). A very competitive value for money! The hotel is quiet and the rooms are very nice (in a purely Venetian decor! ). I recommend this address!

Very good location. Little space as in all of Venice and its surroundings. Staff very helpful I couldn't corroborate breakfast as I left very early.

Hotel Lux Our room located in the wet wall Annex, detached tapestry in the hallway and the bathroom Innondee room every morning due to leaking sanitary. Bathroom walls Decrepis doucette breaks. No commercial gesture bedding at the top single strong point. Room worthy of a 1 star hotel. On the other hand very very well located 2 mn from the place St Marco. We will not go back.

Your paying for location the rooms are not to the standard you would expect they gave us a room on the 5th floor and they have no elevator so we had to climb 5 sets or stairs with 3 peices of luggage. The rooms are made to look amazing in the picture but trust me its not what it looks like wouldn't recommend.

Nothing good about this hotel except location. No lifts, ineffective AC, non responsive staff and dirty rooms. Horrible.

A little bit small but ideal for a tourist excursion around.

The first night the room was not ready but we were provided a very nice place across the street (casa kirsch). The second day we moved back to hotel Lux, the bags were, eventually, brought over to our room. The room was definitely what you would expect for the price. The walls were linen covered and showed some age discoloration around the light and ac unit. The problem began when we pulled back the cover. There were bugs. We killed the ones we found, made sure our luggage was sealed and elevated, and then bagel the longest night of our vacation. Luckily we did not have any bites. When we went to check out we informed the desk. The woman apologized, and then showed us a brochure about the cleaning equipment she used to kill them. The morning ended with a decent breakfast of coffee and a croissant. There are better for about the same price. If they do a through debugging, it might be Ok but until then, look elsewhere.

The room was very small, dirty and very very dated. The "hotel" has no lifts and the the breakfast had croissants, cereal and tea as an option. The bathroom was tiny and terrible, the shower was filthy. Overall the room had dirty carpets, no working AC and generally not worth the money they are charging. Think twice before you book this.

Hotel: Room A little kitch but ideally located.

Centrally located, the hotel is delightfully Venetian style and the breakfast is very good.

At 200 m from Piazza S. Marco, very kind staff, welcoming structure.

Two stars is being generous! After lugging our heavy cases up stairs to reception was told we had to go down again, across the lane into another old building. My ageing in-laws were put in the worlds smallest room up six flights of steps. Also the building smells terrible, rock hard beds, fridge not cold, and only enough hot water for two quick showers. Never would stay here again. The location is fantastic is the only plus. My advise would be to stay on Lido and use water taxis to visit then return to Lido each night.

Perfect location, small but cosy. The rooms are large. The staff are professional and helpful.
Some wood too but after a ride to Venice you get used …

Very bad hotel. They claim to be 3 stars accommodation but I think it's a weak 2 stars. The room was in another building where there is a restaurant at the ground level. Then it's smell bas in the corridor. The room was at the highest floor. There was a bad smell from the bathroom drains. The bath was broken and repaired with resin (I can send you to pictures to proove it) … I travelled a little bit through the world, I think I found this kind of hotel in developing country however it was for a couple of dollars and not for one hundred… Keep away from Lux hotel.

At the hotel is cute, you will reach the quarters by stairs… people who care — except for breakfast, which ees Lady love — are nerve, rude, malhumoradas… THEY CHARGE FOR WI FI! UAN shame… the breakfast is sooo low, relative to c the other hotels, bad!

The worst experience in our 4 week trip through Europe. After climbing numerous stairs to the Lux hotel office we were told our room was in another building. So down the stairs and over to the other building. We then had to manoeuvre our luggage up numerous flights of stairs to a tiny stuffy room at the top floor. The bed was very uncomfortable. Next morning no hot water. Reception wouldn't answer so down the stairs and over to reception. Would send someone over… that took forever. Breakfast was included. On arrival at our breakfast site (in yet another building) we had to wait as the six tables were full. Croissant, coffee and two choices of cereal and that was breakfast. My advice… Do not book into the Lux hotel in Venice.

We had a 3 bed room, all twin size. I have a grandmother with cancer who has to use a walker because of her hips. They put us on the 3rd floor up 2 flights of stairs after we asked for a bottom room. Not only that but after that, we get the room and there is no room to walk or put our luggage. We all had to crawl over the bed to get to the bathroom. The air conditioning barely worked. For the amount you pay for the room you would think they would give you free Wi-Fi, but no. A euro an hour. The only thing good about this hotel is its location.

A porqueria. Big shame attention. Room ruined with olorba moisture. The electrical installation collapse, and we went a whole night without light or air conditioning. The place for breakfast other dedastre. We ruined our stay in beautiful Venice.

As with most European hotels it is very modest but extremely convenient to everything.

The best thing is the location of the four buildings to the rooms. You could forgive ancient and worn room even if it was at least clean. The breakfast is a joke. Wi-Fi costs unnecessarily large amount of money. You could have done anything better that.

The Hotel is well located. A few steps from everything! Only that care if you travel with luggage as heavy has no elevator. It is an old Hotel but very good breakfast and service. It has free Wi-Fi.

What an experience! This hotel is the seriously one of the best luxury hotels in Venice — no trash or over the top fancy, just pure class.

The Hotel Danieli is absolutely my first choise in Venice. Great service, charme and history plus a perfect location.
