The food is excellent. The Restaurant has some vineyards from which they obtain a wine of their own harvest. Very good. They Have at the service of the clients a sea taxi that collects the customers of the Restaurant that they wish it and returns them to a jetty of Venice.

The service from entry to exit is polished, friendly, multilingual, instructive, precise, and professional. All team members execute their tasks nearly flawlessly. Patrons can spend anywhere from 200 euros to 1000 on a multi course meal, with the bulk of the cost in the higher ranges going to rare and fine vintages, as is the case in any great restaurant. The Venissa complex is a concept in art, architecture, history, ethnobotany, hospitality, and cuisine. As with any Michelin starred restaurant, there are the obligatory "free" courses which include amuse bouche, palate cleansers and post desserts. The bread baked at high temperature of farro integrale which comes scorched from the wood oven to the table with perfect sweet butter is a revelation. It's the best bread I have been served in a restaurant and the timing of the loaf to the reservation has to be fairly perfect. I don't think we were supposed to devour the first one so quickly but a second one came to tide us over. Venissa looks at the lagoon, the land, and the various ways of preserving, storing and cultivating the foodstuffs of the Veneto through the lens of the tiny and usually overlooked island of Mazzorbo. What does this mean? It means that herbs and greens used in the dishes come from the field that stretches out from the modernist haute farmhouse with glass walls.

The food (without wine accompaniment) of all first class, the staff friendly. We sat in front of the restaurant by the water and were able to enjoy everything (weather and food). Always!

For the ambience, the service, the prosecco and the view into the beautiful vineyard the highest rating. For dinner, we weren't.

We had the seven course tasting menu with the wine pairing. 4 of the 7 courses were good (not great) and two were inedible (cod ravioli with fish soup and bitter asparagus ravioli). The desert choice (mantcha mousse) was so bad if left you wanting to rinse out your mouth. The staff was amazing and the wine selection was great, but the kitchen tried to push taste way too far and forgot that people were paying money for a good meal — not to taste the most bitter food they have ever tasted in their lives. I would not recommend and hope that the chef changes the menu to fit people’s taste.

A welcome that leaves really to be desired: we are welcomed standing without showing us the map and the choice is in fact very limited (no fresh orange juice ex). When we finally find a drink that could be suitable, we are told that the only table available is in a corner in full sun…

This is supposedly a well renowned restaurant (and expensive) and we didn't eat here but their wine yard and farm in front of the restaurant was a good walk. At the back, you could have the views of the calming canal and less customers.

You must try it! There is a lovely philosophy and true love bheind the DORONA wine, homemade glass bottle, gold label and the tap is closed with wax. Unbelievable staff and great service, the location is astonished! It's not cheap but we were more than happy to pay for it.

We have been at the Osteria contemporanea on a rainy day. Very good traditional food revisited with a modern touch! An excellent experience, very friendly staff provides recommendations on wine and food.

Amazing experience: from the arrival To this small charming island till the coffee served in the middle of the vineyards. For sure the sharp but good menu executed with excellence also weights the evaluation. Octopus polenta and gnocchi were superb.

Excellent, welcoming and refined place in the ways and in the taste of the dishes watered by excellent prosecco of the house through centuries of experience of vines.

I stumbled upon this place while exploring Burano. I first found the sculpture garden which led me to the vineyard and eventually the sister restaurant that is Michelin star rated. I didn't have the budget for a Michelin restaurant so I went here instead and it was absolutely worth it. I had a (very expensive) glass of their golden wine, made from the grapes grown on site, and some spaghetti with Pomodoro sauce. Absolutely delicious. One of my favorite meals of my trip. And all by the water side. I'll definitely come back.

Amazingly fresh dishes bursting with flavour — the mantis prawn dish and the tamarind tortellini dish are up there with some of the best things I've ever tasted! Would highly recommend the tasting menus, which were well balanced and exciting — plus you get some little extras thrown in along the way :) Staff were very friendly, relaxed and informative, and the location was beautiful. A fantastic contemporary spin on venetian cuisine and produce.

We went to Venice from Croatia from the Sun Charter base — great wine tasting here in Restaurant Venissa Great Menu with incredible food We will be Bach with Sun Charter — great boats — sailing company.

The dining location is superb with outdoor seating facing lush green vineyards. The food was delicious with interesting flavours balanced delicately. I would say Venissa is just short of two Michelin stars because it's a little rough around the edges. We were asked twice what drinks we wanted and the manager broke some wine glasses.

Rude and unprofessional staff members. Extremely poor customer service. Too much expensive and no value for money. Extremely disappointed and I visited on special recomendation!

Had the pleasure of spending the night here as well as eating at the osteria and the Michelin-starred restaurant. The room, located on the top floor of the Osteria, was both spacious and nice and a perfect option for a relaxing stay in Venezia. In regards to the food, the Osteria served nice traditional Venezian style dishes. The restaurant was more modern in its interpretation of local food. Both was excellent! We definitely stay and eat here, next time we are visiting Venezia.

A great Osteria, peaceful and calm. Great food, splendid with kids. I could spend all day here happily.

Apparently Closed on Tuesday. Apparently Closed on Wednesday. But yet customers are eating. Looks like they don't want to see tourists in the restaurant. Explanations were vague, welcome not warm at all. We prefered to move on. Not recommanded.

Out of this world food and top service as well. Chefs make creative and refined dishes. Also very special house wine for an especially high price.

Highly recommended! We stumbled across this restaurant by accident. It is a hidden gem. Amazing and innovative and yet traditional Venetian cuisine. They make good use of their seasonal fresh produce and their geographical location to obtain the freshest seafood. The pasta dish that I had with 5 different types of seafood reduce was spectacular. All sourced locally, you can tell the difference in your first bite. The carrot starter was very creative — cooking carrot in 5 distinctively different ways. The buffalo mozzarella dessert served with fresh tomato ice cream was unforgettable and you would not find the same dish in London. If you are a vegetarian, they can re-create their magical dishes with vegetarian ingredients only, without compromising on the flavour. We had a bottle of locally produced presecco. It was more refreshing than many conventional presecco. When you go there, pay attention to their cold pressed olive oil with freshly baked bread. The olive oil is packed with flavours, smooth enough to give a creamy taste.

Absolutely fantastic Michelin-starred Italian restaurant that we found by chance when walking through the island of Mazzorbo. All ingredients are seasonal and locally sourced and the cooking methods are very creative. The highlight was the tomato and basil sorbet with buffalo mozzarella dessert. The restaurant is in the middle of a vineyard — very picturesque location!

Been highly recommend to us, but its closed on Wednesdays, the day we went! Lovely little vineyard to explore too. And a cool tower for photo backgrounds!

Had lunch and dinner. Wine and food was extremely well paired and genuine from the area of Venissa and veneto region. Food products are fresh from the nearby garden. Staff freindly, on vacation I just want to see people happy and smiling. I stayed at the hotel as well for one night extremely comfortable and historically authentic! I just enjoyed all my stay. Super relaxing venue.

My wife and I had lunch at Venissa over Easter and unfortunately, for a Michelin star restaurant, it was shockingly bad, underwhelming, and overpriced. 60 Euros per person for a 3 course meal, where the 1st course was essentially "Cicchetti" or Italian tapas. The cicchetti was comprised of two small dishes, one similar to a tuna salad and the 2nd a couple pieces of prosciutto. The "tuna salad" was bland at best and the prosciutto was indistinguishable from regular store bought. The main dish was battered seafood, almost no different than standard fare from English fish 'n chips restaurants. A mound of fish seafood that could've used dipping sauces since the seafood itself was tasteless. On top of that, the bread was microwaved warm, so by the time it arrived, it was very hard. A second round of bread that came was also hard, but this time, from being stale. Venissa turned out to be more Michelin star hype and does little justice for Venetian cuisine. I'd recommend staying on the main island and eating at a more traditional restaurant like Rosa Rossa, where you know what you'll get. Good Italian food.

Great setting, top-quality cuisine. Trained and competent. Brilliant idea to ensure transport by boat to the restaurant from the card for free. Available also the tasting menu with wine glasses that allows you to appreciate each dish with the right match.

I had occasion to go to Venissa several times, both to enjoy a delicious meal that you can taste magnificent wines.
In both cases, the experience was unique. The location is breathtaking, to just take a ferry from Venice or arrive from the Mainland and just arrived we are faced with a finely decorated and renovated, every detail is studied in detail thanks to the care of Veronica and Matthew, who can give the best welcome guests, making them feel at home.
The evening is really pleasant (especially in summer) comfortably relax outside, overlooking a romantic garden and vineyards that give the precious wine which is a delight to be savoured. The food is impeccable, as was the service, which together with the location gives a perfect experience and unforgettable.
During the dinner I had the opportunity to taste the menu with seasonal delicacies: the dishes were delicious and prepared as works of art, and the wine has never disappointed (indeed! ).
Definitely will be back, if only to make a pleasant stop between walks in Murano.

Attention to detail is very high and guests cannot help but notice how much passion and professionalism are followed in the experiential route that goes from tasting in wine cellar, then moved on to visit the vineyard before sampling at the table the surprising culinary reinterpretations of local gastronomy by chef Antonia, who with great availability meets guests at the restaurant always trying to convey the emotion that expresses through his work. A unique, memorable and above all not to be missed.
