Excellent shelter at a very good altitude both in the food and in the cellar. Super friendly Staff.

Bad experience at a lunch on the slopes with two friends. One of the waiters approached us and tried to see each other at all costs a certain dish, announcing the price. First and second normal quality, fast service. Once submitted the Bill, we realized that the price was higher than previously disclosed what was said; final surprise, checking account and amounts, we have "cocktail" charged and ever wondered. We ask for explanations, the waiter apologized but pushing anyway to charge that account was wrong. We got the Bill corrected, and felt angry to say we have nothing. Do not recommend the place for both the menu's for treatment. Do you think people are dumb and don't look at the final bill?

Good bar to relax after long Off-piste trip from the top of the mountain. Nice view, cozy terrasse.

Although the mountains that shelter and can offer quality food and also has a varied wine list, friendly staff and the place does the rest.

It is not a classic refuge, from polenta and roe deer: it is more a charming dwelling in the high mountains. Knowing what you find, it's perfect (expecting more, no)

Exceptional location and kitchen from hut with average prices. Interesting the possibility of overnight in this frame.

The mountain is sharing, the signs banning the passage, reaffirming how much the area is reserved for customers are as far away from the spirit of the mountain walks. A real shame because the place would be nice and I understand that the food is good.

Good pitstop with homemade pasta and friendly service!

I rarely give one star, after queuing in the crowded restaurant we order drinks and the barman replied impolitely: no the bar is to busy I can't take your order. We left immediately. In any case the place was too dark, bad smell and overcrowded. Ski a bit more and u ll find better alternatives.

The full moon party was epic. The food was nice, service was exelent but the ride down in the moonlight after the dinner was priceless.

We stopped for lunch here, the view is great and the food too. Having lunch on the terrace is beautiful.

The beer on tap is simply excellent. We stopped here just for the beer but next time we will have lunch for sure as the dishes seemed very appealing :D.

The shelter, which can be reached in about 30 minutes walk after riding the cable car in champoluc, is located on a small hill. Overlooking 2 lakes. Another is a 10-minute walk on a dirt road. The food is good, like a restaurant. Is not only polenta and sausage. A bit pricey. In summer it is ideal for a romantic dinner at sunset. Note that the last cable car ride back to champoluc is at 22.30 and the service is available only from June to August. You can use as basis for summer trekking. While winter is a good resting spot for skiers.

The reception is great. The kitchen is nothing short of magnificent and magical ' location ', to the extent that we impulsively decided to stay for the night, starry night and silence. No TV … and in the morning you are greeted by marmots and chamois. Definitely a place to go back. Thanks to Angelo and to all the staff.

One of the favourite places to eat when doing the "Monterosa ski". Great sandwiches and hot yummy.

Too cute I manage, healthy cooking and cooked well.

Its a remote mountain hut so access is not quite the same as a hotel in town but this is more of an advantage as a disadvantage… if you like this kind of thing. Had a slight issue on arrival as I couldnt reach them on the phone to request collection from the cable car top station… so I walked up (half an hour) I thoroughly enjoied my week (trail running) here, its clean the food is good, the service excellent and the whole package was very good value for money. I will return as soon as I can, hopfully during the winter as I feel this would be an ideal base for some ski touring.

Most likely the worst place for lunch in the Monterosa ski area. I was served some very old and dry meatballs as well as a salami that was of such poor quality it needed artificial coloring and flavours to even resemble the real product.

Excellent welcome. Kindness, sympathy, are qualities that I found in this cozy retreat. The kitchen unexpectedly drafted worthy of a 5 star hotel with great flavours. Lovely rooms. Fantastic scenery and chance to explore trails of varying difficulty for everyone.

Refuge ok. We went for climbing in the area and I have to say disastrous.! No alerts for Crag. Arrived after several passages, the cliff is completely covered in MOSS and never been brushed. Holds zero. Zero fun. 2 shots (ugly) and we came away. Patience on next.

Warm comfortable rooms and breathtaking views. Kitchen nothing short of exceptional. Very funny. Would recommend, if we consider that it is within the ski slopes, makes it great.
