Review of Hotel Loreley 3*

I just returned from a 4 days stay at Hotel Loreley. Frankly speaking, this one is more of a hit or miss. The location is remote, a little inaccessible (although the hotel provides an electric taxi service from the hotel to the centre of Sant'angelo for some fixed hours of the day) but the surroundings of the hotel is highly ecological and marvellous. There are some really beautiful beaches down the hotel and the town centre too. The ambient at the hotel is very relaxing. The view from the terrace is spectacular. The breakfast was delicious and with multiple options to eat. The pool side is calm and refreshing. I would say the billing staff is honest. We were charged €10 extra, which they returned once they realised the fault in our accounts. So thumbs up to that. Now to the things that made me not give the 4th and 5th stars in the review. The rooms could have been orientated better given the price they charged and given the fact that it is a 3 star hotel. We were not given basic amenities including shampoo and soaps every morning after the room cleaning was done. The hair dryer didn't work. The air conditioner was a bit wonky too. The most unusual thing happened when we were leaving. Given the fact that the hotel provides free taxi service to and fro from the hotel. We were asked to pay extra for the bags. Our bags were transported in another taxi, even though we had enough space in our taxi. I expect a little heads up if they gonna charge me for some service. I don't know if this happened because of a misunderstanding or an opportunity of exploitation.
