Best place to eat in Trieste.

The location certainly beautiful, but the food leaves something to be desired absolutely anonymous and very dear.

Simply the best location surpassed only by the quality of the staff, from 1 to 5 stars I Tre Merli deserves the 10

Wonderful location… very slow service … they didn't find the reservation and put us on a table away from the sea when asked otherwise… a bit expensive… I don't know if I will stay here again…

Nice place with wonderful terrace overlooking the sea, great fish and very kind and welcoming staff 😊I recommend it.

Beautiful location but very slow service, they also forgot a dish. Ordinary food nothing so special and really too high prices. I'm not coming back.

Best and most beautiful hotel in Trieste
Only hotel in Trieste where you have a parking space and even right in front of the hotel and FREE!
The terrace is a dream from wood to sunbeds. The rooms are slightly smaller but sufficient and very mundane and very clean.
Directly in the center you are by car in 5 Miniten or you can also get a taxi call.
The restaurant opposite is worth 5 stars. You can't even find a better food center.
The staff is very nice and friendly and very special is Josip from the restaurant, Josip responds to all your requests while eating and takes care of his guests world class!

Excellent food, great variety of flavors and wine pairing, the staff was excellent. Highly recommended!

A restaurant with fresh and very tasty food.

Clean and tidy rooms, large bathroom with large shower, TV with digital terrestrial, comfortable seaside terrace and full buffet breakfast.

A view to die for, a great new menu that accomodate an younger view on some Italian traditional plates, possibly the best service I have ever received on my trip in Italy by car from Sicily. Highly recommended, make sure you book ahead.

Located at the sea, the hotel Tre Merli offers a nice view from the terrace and from some of the rooms. The whirlpool is very small and needs to be requested individually. Breakfast was offered inside despite a huge Terrace available next to the restaurant and it is quite standard food of poor quality. Service staff is nice. Altogether the hotel seems a little expensive and overrated to us.

The oceanfront location makes the hotel special. The rooms are very modern and beautifully furnished but the tin roof makes violent noise.

A sleeper night the room was placed behind the street and very noisy.
As soon as we entered the 18 we noticed the extreme heat of the room and we made this several times that the conditioning while active, did not Refresh. The receptionist after further solicitation, intervened saying that they had fixed the whole thing. We went out for dinner and at the drop off the room was basically an Oven.
The front desk was Closed.
We spent a sleeper night. At 6 desperate we opened doors and windows of the room that gave directly in the courtyard, but equally if the room refreshed a bit, the noise of the street and the light made it impossible any kind of rest.
At 7 o'clock at the opening of the reception we represented the situation, asking that we not be charged the full amount since we had booked an air conditioned room while the air conditioner did not work, and with the 29 degrees of the day in Room had been impossible to sleep! The answer was that they would have verified the technical Problem.
At the time of the Cech out, with doing ' kind and smiling ' they charged us all the amount without any kind of regard, continuing to argue that the overall facility Worked.
I highly recommend, not only for the inadequacy of the structure but also and especially for the lack of courtesy towards the Guest.

We booked 3 days at the hotel Tre Merli.
The hotel has 13 rooms that create a very intimate and relaxed atmosphere. Our room is exceptionally clean and cozy.
That right next door is the Trattoria Tre Merli, was suitable as a possibility to eat after our long journey.
The food is excellent and the service very accommodating. We were advised by the staff in perfect English (our Italian is enough to order pizza Salame). The atmosphere, although it is high, is still very relaxed and familiar.
We have felt very welcome and can recommend this restaurant to 100%!

We spent so many Christmases here at the Three Blackbirds! Great cuisine, exceptional service and attentive, enviable location on the sea just a few minutes from the center of Trieste. Thank you all always and I hope to return soon!

Worste nightmare ever. Also the closet dirty. The room is awful and tiny. It was a bungalow. Please avoid it.

Hotel in the outskirts of Trieste, facing the sea. Rooms with every comfort, very clean, quiet, bed comfortable, shower great. Staff attentive and friendly. In the evening we ate in the restaurant excellent dinner overlooking the sea. Refined dishes and very good.

Sry, not enough storage space, no respect for privacy and just in time clearing the breakfast buffet. So we will never visit this hotel and we also can't recommend this hotel.

Location is great, the little house closest to the sea shore has a great view, service is OK, owners of the facility strict and not too flexible. Wi-Fi speed acceptable jumping between 2-8 Mpbs in both directions.

I almost never write negative reviews, but with his experience it's not what happened, it's how we were treated by the staff. We booked the hotel for our honeymoon, and I specifically chose it Bc it was air conditioned, followed by the style and location. AC is not just a nice to have for me — in the heat of th summer I need it Bc my body has a hard time regulating its own temperature. When we checked in, the room felt very warm but the desk assured us it was Bc we needed to set the thermostat correctly. After a very hot night, in the morning we were told that the ac was in fact broken, but would he fixed today. We spent the day in th shade by the sea, to return to a room that was still 28 degrees (82 F). Management then informed us that we should feel glad it wasn't as hot as it is outside, that it was going to take numerous hours to get cooler (we have 15 rooms here and you can't be "American cold"), that we should not expect that setting the room to the lower cold temperature allowed (18 degrees) is something we should even do in the summer, and seemed much more concerned about us trying to stand on a chair to see f any cold air was coming out (do not put feet on our chair! ) than The sauna in our room.

Perfect location to experience the start at the Barcolana. At the start you can enjoy the 100e of boats right in front of the hotel.

This review is based completely on the terrible customer service as we never ended up staying at the hotel. The manager (owner? ) was rude and unaccommodating. He did not care at all whether we stayed or not and was dismissive and condescending — completely the opposite of the customer service we have almost always enjoyed in Italy. I would highly recommend avoiding this hotel at all costs.

I went with my family x celebrate my 40 th birthday … I wanted to make a good impression and I asked around and I heard that the three blackbirds is one of the most popular so I booked … Booked on the terrace overlooking the sea, wonderful place, wonderful view … the Place is beautiful and elegant … the service is from the restaurant and not the restaurant… while we were at the table to eat at for lunch a couple of metres, two people cleaned the glass (seedy) … The food is very good and fresh … the bad luck wanted that in the second I found a hair and I do this thing … to apologize offer them a bitter, but listen to this! we were three adults-me and two women bring a bitter taste in the two glasses and they say, "one is for you and if you divide it, the two ladies"… definitely sleazy! On the spot I said nothing because my wife did not want to, and I didn't want to spoil the day … In my opinion, the place not recommended x events and/or occurrences … ideal place x to be with friends.

Beautiful hotel by the sea with private beach, private terrace, equipped with every comfort, is practically in the city. Highly recommended.
