Truly a beautiful hotel everything positive the council for everything, even for the location. We had the room overlooking the piazza unità d'italia. The guy at the breakfast service is fantastic very nice.

One of our favorite hotel and bar. The whole ambiance is awesome. Every time we come to Triest we stay in this hotel, even if we go trough the city then just pop in for a coffee or drink to Harry’s.

Very nice hotel in a prime location. Our room was newly renovated and left no wishes unfulfilled. Rich breakfast and a thermal bath included, we will be happy to come back.

Beautiful historic hotel with a breathtaking view of the Piazza Unity of Italy. Service of the highest quality excellent staff availability for advice or information. Why only 4 stars instead of 5? (And it's worth them all. ) Furnished bellisimo as by an Antiques or Museum. The room is nice and clean.

Expensive for the performance offered. But still quite nice. At the reception or staff there is the quality of up to. So from very competent and super nice and courteous to house dragon everything available. But it is just completely in the center which makes it quite pleasant. Equipment of the rooms could be better at the price however.

Historic hotel in the center of Trieste. Great location. Rooms suitable for the price but furniture to consider old rather than old. In the spa area there is swimming pool, sauna, steam room, whirlpool, bathrobes and towels, but there is no hot shower. Expensive restaurant.

Great as hotel and restaurant. But more than any current consideration is worth the history of this hotel, where it was assassinated — in a climate of ambiguity and subsequent reticence of witnesses — the great archaeologist Winckelmann, in June 1768. Then the hotel was called Locanda Grande and today it maintains a style between neoclassical and first romance, sophisticated in furnishings and not usual in Italy. The room in which Winckelmann was stabbed, restored and rebuilt in part as it was, remains very suggestive.

Old 19th century Grand Hotel. Very friendly helpful staff. Extensive breakfast. All clean and pleasant. Public parking garage 15 Euro/day about 200 meters away. Or some more expensive valet parking (not used). Located in the centre and therefore much is easily accessible on foot.
The rooms are likely to be in very different renovation state. The pictures on the homepage show beautifully renovated rooms, of course in the old style. We have actually seen them. Our room had been very small and probably last renovated in the last century. The bed very pleasant. But cladding doors, such a small bathroom with no storage facilities and especially a shower placed over the narrow bathtub about 60 x 80 cm wide is no longer up-to-date for 4 *. It's all there you need, but it doesn't find a place.
But we already felt comfortable.

Coffee overlooking the square of the unit. Outdoor tables. Wonderful in the hot season. Just as charming in winter. The refined and enveloping atmosphere makes it unique. The service is optimal, in line with the excellence of the environment. To try for the tourists. To attend for the townspeople.

A hotel of the class. Best competent and very friendly service. Sound-proof windows provide absolute tranquility. Rooms newly renovated. Excellent location with great views. Highly recommended.

The staff were very friendly, the room was very clean and the breakfast was very good, but it was a little bit more than the price.

Beautiful, unique, centrally located. A hotel of the imperial splendour where the nobility of the Trieste leaves still impressed its Italian spirit. A star of value starting from the wonderful swimming pool, on the ground floor for breakfast at the Harris Bar and on the upper floors with period furnishings and view on the square, the palaces and the Gulf.

The Grand Dame needs an extended vacation! Very dated. Yellow tiles in the bathroom, worn carpets and a pant press in the wall? I might have used it butvlooked dirty and afraid it would ruin my pants. Terrific setting, staff and restaurant.

They did not allow a pregnant woman to use the toilets because she was not their guest.

The most luxurious Hotel in Trieste. Gives directly on piazza Unità, with Harry's Grill Restaurant and bar. Very classy décor, offers professional service and stylish surroundings.

Hotel with lots of charm and friendly & helpful staff. Best location in Piazza del'UNITA. Breakfast buffet; all fresh and homemade. Coffee is very fine and who likes can start the day with a glass of Prosecco. Despite the central location, the hotel is quiet and only recommend.

Hotel worthy of a 4 star hotel, great welcome by the reception especially Miss Clare, great Mr. Tommy in availability during breakfast. One caution to the smell of smoke in the rooms due perhaps to the ventilation system.

The Hotel is perfectly situated and the rooms are delightful. Tommy, the Breakfast Manager met us each morning with a beautiful smile, freshly squeezed orange juice and a double espresso (The coffee in Trieste is superb) All the staff were exceptionally helpful and our stay for a week was memorable. Thank you everyone, especially Tommy and his lovely assistant, both always cheerful.
