Very beautiful, scenic structure, with stunning views. I didn't get to appreciate the inside. 5 stars in place but 2 at the service. I do not know if it was a catering of the newlyweds or the official one of the castle, it is in fact that the kindness of the staff is certainly not a feature that they can boast. Precisely because of the uncertainty that it was a catering I still give 4 stars in place!

Potentially the place would be lovely, but I noticed little attention in detail. The lawn (panoramic) could be leveled, for example. As well as the view of the cemetery, which penalizes the location, it could be covered by some vegetation (trees, bushes). The interior of the castle, on the other hand, is very impressive, it really seems to have returned to the Middle Ages.

It’s an amazing place! I love the place, the view, the peace and comfort! Can’t wait to go back!

In a visit to the places of my childhood, I could not forget a local haute-cuisine with an excellent wine cellar. Charming place worthy of any deserving judgment.

Lovely Location to visit in the spring and summer months for lunch in the garden with a view on the hills! Courteous service and dishes OK… I think the wines are very good but by teetotaler I can't say mine!

Very nice setting, with great views of the Collio area.
Ate mixed barbecue and it was very good. Service a little slow and they made a fuss with the dishes asked for but nothing serious.

I was lucky enough to stay overnight, comfortable and quiet rooms the varied and good breakfast, near the wine shop to drink the excellent wines of the collio, worthy of note the kindness of the staff.

Good experience in a medieval atmosphere. To be done once in life. Nice the simulation with cavaliers that didn't save energies st all to make the battle more realistic.

After the Conte presented us with his ancient sailing yacht in Monfalcone, we were invited by him to his castle, which is located directly on the Slovenian border. In a first-class ambience we enjoyed the very good regional wines and an excellent buffet prepared by the chef in the castle garden. At the end of the successful day, the chef also showed himself to be a talented singer at the live concert in the castle garden.

This dish very good. The other one baked a little hastily. Very charming location in one of the most beautiful areas of Friuli.

Castle always fascinating and rich in resources. It offers original and well organized events. It lends itself very well as a location for themed parties, weddings, medieval events. It has a very comfortable parking lot and a winery always welcoming and well stocked with fine wines. An ideal place for a snack or a quick refreshment. It is just a short walk from the city of Gorizia, nestled in the green hills of Collio. This allows you to have many comforts, including the possibility of hiking in Slovenia, always keeping the castle as a point of reference. It is a fascinating place both on sunny days, and with fog, or adverse weather, giving the right shelter and refreshment. It enjoys an amazing view, given its dominant position compared to the rest of the houses and surrounding countries. It is easily reached both from Gorizia and from Udine. It is located in the centre of San Floriano del Collio, close to the square and the church. The count is always very kind and welcoming, will surely advise you the best as regards a tasting of the best products in the area and also for an excursion both on foot and by bicycle in the vicinity of the hill. He will surely entertain you with stories and tales inherent in the castle and its past. I wish you could pass even just for a quick curious glance.

It's been some time since our wedding (September) but we want to share our experience with you. Despite the bad weather that prevented us from enjoying the beautiful outdoor space, Massimo and his staff were able to create inside a very unique atmosphere, very suggestive and welcoming.
The Grand Buffet was nothing short of superlative, but then all the dinner was appreciated by all not only for the refined tastes of the kitchen, but also for the exquisite courtesy and professionalism of the staff in the room. Exquisite also the discreet but attentive presence of the master of that splendid place rich of history which is the castle Formentini.
