With two friends we made the Via Vandelli from 22 to 29 May. We started with the tent and decided to lean on structures that would allow us to put the tent in the garden, with the use of a bathroom for the shower and with a restaurant for dinner and breakfast.
We stopped at the end of the second stage (Montecuccolo, after Pavullo in Frigano) at the Belvedere farm.
The place has en-suite rooms in a building just above the main road and the restaurant adjacent to via Pratolino (the two units can be reached in a few minutes on foot along a downhill/uphill road).
The structure would need to be modernized, but the garden is open and usable for the tent. The place is quiet. We used the bathroom of a room where we could leave the backpacks for the night. We ate very well (excellent and abundant tortelli as well as hot tigelle and pesto with lard! ).
We understood that traveling with a few pounds less would allow us to enjoy the journey more and so we asked the owner if, the next morning, he could bring us tents and what was necessary for the night at the end of the stage (at santona). He was really helpful: we put everything in two garbage bags and in the afternoon, coming out of work, he reached us at Santona and gave us our ‘packages’. Thank you! Recommended structure for the great food, the cost and availability of the managers.
