Hotel Stendhal

This hotel has seen better days. The rooms are outdated the carpet looks like it been there since création of the city. Lucky of it and us it's idealy located near great restaurants and shops. Also the good thing about this place is the staff and the breakfast. There is a lot to choose from pastries, eggs, bread, cereal, cheeze and fresh fruit. Also the service is great. The staff is friendly and always trying to accomodate.

It is located perfectly to access the center of the city. Service was good and employees were friendly. The bed sheet was clean but had an odor of a bit of sweat and acid.

Very good hotel. Rooms are ample and very quiet. There is parking in front of the hotel or a parking lot besides. Very well situated to visit all tourist attractions in Parma as well as close to the pedestrian area with plenty of restaurantes. Personnel is very friendly.

Rooms are comfortable but you have the sensation of been in an old room. Interior views are not nice facing very old buildings. The hotel is very well located to visit all tourist places, pedestrian zone and restaurantes. Personnel is very friendly. Car par is available.

Great hotel in a good position. Easy to find and only a short walk to bars and restaurants. Secure parking is available but you need to book. Excellent for a one or two night stay.

This a very comfortable hotel in a prime location right next to the museum complex at Palazzo Pilotta. The bed was comfortable and bathroom well equipped. Breakfast buffet was very good. The hotel is a 10 minute walk from the train station. This is a great choice for exploring Parma.

Our first room was spacious but only had a bath. The staff were amazing and we swapped and upgraded our room and got one with a shower with a balcony looking onto the old town, it was idyllic.
The staff at reception are excellent and so helpful.
Only let down was the bar was closed.

2 nights for a brief city trip to Parma. Hotel is centrally located and just a few minutes from the train station and the city center.
Hotel room is nice and tastefully decorated. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We are happy with our stay.
On the upside:
— nice and quiet room.
— helpful and friendly staff.
— spacious bathroom, nice + fluffy + big bath towels.
On the downside:
— room was quite warm and the temperature control had no effect on the room temperature. Fan mode would work and provide a little relief, but otherwise it was not possible to lower the temperature.
— very few power plugs (only 1 plug was not used) and with the italian-only standard; only plug with european standard was in bathroom. No USB plugs.
— poor Wi-Fi: connectivity was ok, but speed was bad (slower than using internet on the mobile network)

Smell of cleaning product very strong, aircon/heating stuck on temperature 25C and only managed to turn it off by removing keycard so room extremely warm even though it was a cool night. Has already settled in for the night and couldn't face having to try and explain with reception so tried opening window but not sufficient to create airflow to cool the room but did report it when checking out but no real apology and didnt feel. Like they'd actually do anything about it. Room decor was tired and dated not much in way of ameneties in hotel — not even a complimentary bottle of water. Mini bar expensive. No other facilities for snacks/drinks. Breakfast was mediocre small dry pastry and only self-serve machine coffee. Advertiding as a 4 star but at best would class this as 3 star based on the limited hotel amenities and the condition of the room. Have stayed in a ibis styles on same trip with better amenities. Only benefit was the central location in parma as plenty of places to eat & drink nearby as nothing in the hotel.

Borderline 2 stars but given the location and the hotel rating is a fair, 3 stars. Pet friendly which showed in the room I had. Travelled with 2 other colleagues on a business trip from the UK. Very close to the bustling town which rang through the window until late so sleep was slightly disturbed. Well stocked mini bar was a big plus. Only gripe otherwise is the toilet and shower, they aren't sized for any normally sized adult.

The room was unbearably hot. Couldn't get the air-conditioning working. And I'm staying in Feb. Would be awful in summer.
However, location is excellent. Staff were extremely nice. Easy to park.

Comfortable spacious room. Hotel only has a limited number of car parking spaces. If you don't book well in advance you won't get a spot and have to park at a public garage nearby. The bar was closed at the hotel and the Welcome drink was simply the mini bar. Within the ZTL you cannot drive to the hotel after 7:30am and before 7:30pm.

Great location, very walkable from the train station. Easy walk to restaurants and shopping. Staff was so-so, they weren't as friendly here as other places we had stayed in Italy. Breakfast staff was very helpful though.
The room was ok, small and functional. The bed was odd and low to the ground, but it was very comfortable and clean. Would stay here again.
