We stayed at Old Town Boutique when we visited Modena to go to Osteria Francescana, and it was perfect. The hotel is just a two-minute walk from the restaurant.
Massimo, the host, was super nice and made sure we had everything we needed. He gave us breakfast vouchers for the cuuutest café in town, where the breakfast choices were delicious and the coffee was fantastic. The servers were really friendly too!
The rooms were spotless and modern, with great AC which was a lifesaver in the hot Italian weather. They provided everything we needed, from slippers and sanitary kits to toothbrushes and welcome chocolates.
Massimo also gave us great tips on where to eat and what to see in Modena.
Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would definitely recommend Old Town Boutique to anyone visiting Modena!

A bit pricey, a bit hard to reach (given the historical centre narrow streets), but overall a great accommodation.
Massimo, the owner, was great at guiding us toward the best places in town.

This is really a third floor apt. In a private building with full time residents set up with living, dining, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. The other room is just a nice size bedroom with a private bath. My spouse and I had the full size apt. And our tour guide took the smaller room. Very clean, updated and nice furnishings. The building does have a lift. No private parking. The "breakfast " part is a voucher to a local trattoria around the corner. Would be a great choice for a months stay as the large apt. Has a full size kitchen. Maid service is offered every day if you wish. It's expensive, we think, for Modena. The only reason you go to Modena is to drive out to Maranello for the Ferrari museum and factory. Modena is a typical Italian countryside town with great balsamic vinegar. It was a bit much for a 2 day stay but the website is limited in it's description and photo's. Would have stayed elsewhere had we had a clearer picture of what we were getting.
