Great place to spend the night for a weekend in Bologna. Clean, modern, well appointed and very close to the center!

I stayed in this hostel a few years ago when it was first opening. I have to say it is an excellent hostel and Paris (the owner) is a really cool awesome person to talk and hang out with. Everyone in the hostel was more than helpful and made my stay very comfortable. The hostel is very clean and very nice. The staff is more than helpful at providing any information you might want to know about the city!. I would highly recommend this hostel to anyone visiting in the Bologna area. Thank you to everyone at Dopa Hostel for such a great experience and I hope to be back and visit 1 day soon! :) :) :)

Nice, relaxed and welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff. I highly recommend their teas which are very very good. There's a full equipped kitchen where often guests and staff enjoy eating together. It's located in the downtown, 5 mins from the University.

Cozy place! An apartment on the first floor that is turned into a hostel. Very well managed space and ambience. Well equipped to give you your own personal space even in a dorm. Breakfast was basic and could be better. Good value for money.

Basically a big apartment turned into a hostel. 2nd floor of a nice building, very cozy. Comfort is basic, they have double rooms for a higher rate than the standard dorms. Basic Muesli breakfast included in most rates. Group activities on some of the days.

Very disappointing. Place looked clean and had a communal vibe. But this was ruined by the rules, the lack of service, the attitude of the front desk lady. We checked in after being told their air conditioning was controled per the room. Upon entry found it bearly worked and there were only 3 bathroom for the whole hostel. My girlfriend was uncomfortable and asked if we could have our money back it was only two minutes later as we had not used the room at all and was told she could only have half the cost back. Do not recommend.

A fantastic hostel. Hosts were helpful and had great knowledge on the city, including where to get the best eats. The rooms were clean and the bunks were great as they were private. Breakfast was also good; a typical contintental breakfast of cereals, meats, cheese and breads. Well worth the price tag. It's also really close to the train station and a decent walk to the main attractions.

Topa Hostel is the best place to stay in Bologna! The old, bald man at reception (he calls himself Lupo) told very bad jokes but made us a tasty dinner! The hostel had everything we needed, great Wi-Fi, great breakfast and an unlimited supply of free maps! I definitely recommend staying here.

Really trendy cool design. Even though it was an 8 bedroom dorm room the design made it feel like you had your own individual space. The beds were soft, you had your own night light, you could close the curtains to your bed space, you had your own storage and you had your own locker. It is a small hostel but the space is used very cleverly. I didn't like that you had to hire out a towel though, especially when you could just use the towel in the bathroom if you were desperate.

What a cute little hostel! The owner is very kind, the entire atmosphere is the exact style of "traveler-eclectic" that you would expect. The beds are super comfortable, and the amenities are clean. Wifi is easily over crowded, but it is free and available. Breakfast is free and there is a very sweet little place to hang out with other hostel guests.

I've stayed in the 6 Bed Mixed Dorm and I enjoyed it! Each bed has a light and a power supply. Beds are comfortable and organized in a way that u have privacy even in a 6 bed dorm! The locker is too small for a big backpack. Free breakfast is amazing! Bathrooms are spacious and clean. The location is great, takes u about 10-15 minutes walking to reach Piazza Maggiore (the main square) and 20 minutes to reach the Train Station. Staff is kindly, friendly and willing to help! Highly recommend this hostel!

I guess she thought I should sleep on the street. Yet, the woman w/blond hair and glasses was warm, kind and engaging. She helped me check in, navigate the hostel, set bookings to other cities and the neighborhood. The room was cute and I was able to get into a bathroom when I needed to.

This place is THE HOSTEL you want and you need. I've been here for a year now, nearly once every two months and I know what I'm saying: the place is ALWAYS PERFECTLY CLEAN, EVERYWHERE. Every time. The staff is young but professional, they ALL work hard to give the best offer to everyone. The breakfast is AMAZINGLY GOOD and it suits every tastes. If something is missing (I've never seen anything missing, tho) just ask Paris or Dominique or anybody else in the crew, they will surely help you. The philosophy of the place is to CONNECT PEOPLE so there is no television and its a choice I totally agree with so don't complain or whine about it in the reviews, ok? Also because there's no sign about the presence of TV in the description of the hostel so READ CAREFULLY FIRST before leaving a bad review. These people are working HARD & GOOD. The prices are totally fair, don't forget that this hostel is near the city center & the train station. What do you want more? The look & feel of the whole place is very friendly, colorful, weird, trippy (in a very good way) & cozy! Seriously, whoever wrote a bad review is an oversensitive sissy used to be served in a seven star deluxe ultra fancy hypa lotsa-e-amoney jetset high society's luxurious hotel. LMAO! Get real, bro…

The hostel is central, 10 mins far from the station. Bedrooms are smart designed and all the rooms are clean. Breakfast is super nice and he hosts are helpful and nice. Great experience.

Stayed for one night, the owner is of a unique kindness, furnished very well, you feel at home. Recommended.

I've been to almost 100 hostel and believe me this is a great hostel. Modern, new and we'll maintained. Beds have personal reading light, plug socket and curtain. Staff were great and bathrooms clean. Would have liked a bigger locker in room and safe storage room for leaving baggage when checking out. Then it would be perfect. Would recommend.

The hostel was awesome. They paid a lot of attention to detail. The bed set up was one of the best I've ever seen. Also breakfast and location were great. Can't say enough good things about this hostel!

Cozy and friendly hostel. Very unusual position of beds in rooms, but that's perfect because it allows you more privacy. Staff is polite and with a good mood. The toilets are clean, unlike other hostels.

I stayed here few days in February. The place is clean and nice but has a lot of negatives. I feel alot of these reviews are inaccurate. I start with in the morning there is very few showers which you can wait longer than 15min. The breakfast is poor cheap quality food. At night the noise is too much as the common room is close to the rooms where they have music until late and people making alot of noise until 5am. In all honesty giving this genuine review… for this price the hostel is a rip off. Would not recommend this place. P. S staff should know the politeness towards customers and mind their own business!

This is the cleanest and one of the best hostels you will ever find. And it's located on the city center. Paris and the rest of the staff are very hospitable and accommodating. I highly recommend this hostel.

Perfect. Neat, clean. I can say that a minimum of I mean of hostels, I have completed the pilgrimage to santiago sleeping in these for more than a month. Nice staff, polite and helpful. Kitchen with everything you need for breakfast, no limits on time in the evening (give the keys), clean bathroom, possibility of having a towel, beds with blankets, lockers in which you can guard their things with a plug inside. Ideal location.

It located in the city center of Bologna in historical building close to University and 15 minutes by walk from train station. The owner Paris and all staff create beautiful place to stay with good vibes. It is perfect place where meet other people with big open kitchen and cozy living room. For all ages.

Hostel very noisy. Breakfast is scarce. Otherwise, the rooms are good and clean. Everything is very new.

Excellent hostel with a very good attention. Located a few blocks from the historic center of Bologna, and less than a 10-minute walk from the train station. Very good breakfast and comfortable beds.
