Casa Bello is a three-room B&B a few miles from the foot of the Vesuvius. Rooms are spledidly clean, somehow basic and no-frills. The attached bathroom was very clean and convenient, shower, toilet, hair dryer and soaps all provided. Italian breakfast included with a nice fresh pastry in Napolitan style.
The place is ran by an energized and friendly, hospitable host, Ugo. He knows much of where to go and how to get there, which was incredibly useful to me, as I rely on public transportation.
The location is a good base to explore the marvels of the attractions under Naples. The ancient scavi-cities like Pompei, the Vesuvius crater, and also the beautiful coast of Sorrento, Amalfi, Capri. I recommend to use a car to go to the B&B. For those with good legs, the BnB is a 25mins walk up from Trecase Metro station. However, traffic can be very dense, and at times unpleasant too walk through. Public transportation throughout this area is over crowded. Beware of the bus from Sorrento to Positano or you end up standing in a shaky bus stuck in traffic for hours. Use boats to get around that area.
There are a few restaurants around the Casa, ask the manager. There is a fruitseller closeby and a supermarket 400m from the property.
