Review of Grand Hotel Vesuvio 4*

Do not ever stay here. The hotel not only has a curfew of 2:30am but they also lock the doors to where you can not enter or leave the building after this time. Also not that I went to visit my sister and when we arrived the guy at the front desk became very rude when he found out I wasn’t staying there. After I tried explaining I was there only to visit my sister he got even more rude. Upon trying to explain to him I was just visiting and if it was a problemI would pay more on top of their room price for the night or even pay for another room just to spend sometime he called the police on us. He then began to yell and get aggressive with my sister who had been staying there and paid for her room. The police arrived and he spoke to them and made the police make me leave and was very rude with her and me. Shortly after I left and found a room to stay in and offered my sister to come visit me at my place we found out that she was not able to leave the building under any circumstances. She literally was not able to physically leave as all of the doors weee locked inside and out not allowing her to physically leave the building. She felt like a prisoner in a building she paid to stay in. Remind you this is supposed to be a 4 star horel. This should not be allowed and would be very much illegal to not allow your guest to leave the building at their own free will. Not to mention you spend a good amount of money to stay here. We will NEVER be staying here! Stay away from this trap (literally) This hotel is not friendly at all to its paying guest… Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else to avoid the scam.
