Lovely hotel with super friendly staff. Located about 15min walk from sorrento but the hotel shuttle bus is god send. Very clean and well looked after. Food is good. Bar is a bit pricy and some rooms are small but friendly staff will help if you’re not happy. Would definitely recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay. All staff were kind, helpful and attentive throughout our stay. We felt safe and looked after. The hotel areas themselves have been updated and are of good quality. The pool is a lovely area and is often quiet. The free bus shuttle service was very helpful especially on days that we had been exploring the area all day however the 20 minute walk was equally easy and nice. The food was amazing. Breakfast had a lot of choice from cold and hot. We were half-board and had the dinner, I’m used to cruise service and this was on par with the service I normally have in there. The menu was varied day to day and there was a good variety of tasty food (my friend is who I travelled with is fussy and she found good every night she could eat). The restaurant staff were exceptional and started to remember us everyday which was lovely. We ate at lunch by the pool area a few times which was a good option as the hotel is quiet and peaceful — lots of great choice and a decent price. Would recommend to all my friends and family in a heartbeat — thank you for such a lovely stay!

Having been to Sorrento 3 times now, this hotel has been the best by far. Lovely hotel, the location, a courtesy but into town. The staff are professional, friendly & can’t do enough for you. Restaurant Antonio & team are all superb. Lovely food plenty choices. Loved every minute & will definitely be back. Thanks all xx.

Resturant staff very friendly and really good service. Breakfast selection was excellent. Rooms were very comfortable and our room at back of hotel very quiet. Shuttle bus into town worked very well. Lovely swimming pool, never too crowded.

Great hotel! All the staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly. They couldn’t do enough to ensure we had a great time, including ensuring there was a plentiful supply of cows milk for our two year old! Thank you so much to all!

Lovely hotel, great staff, fantastic food, wonderful views from the balcony, even a swimming pool and sun beds. Shuttle to town so no worries about being on the outskirts.

The greatest convenience is due to the free shuttle that takes you every 5/10 minutes to the center of Sorrento. A special thanks to the driver, humble and patient man with everyone.
The rooms are very clean, with balcony overlooking Vesuvius. Finally, parking inside the hotel is charged daily. All very nice really, we spent a very pleasant stay.

We just stayed at this hotel. All the staff very friendly and helpful. Large and clean rooms, a garden next to the pool where you can eat or have drinks all very good. Excellent and rich breakfast, as soon as you arrive you leave the car and they themselves take it to a garage with which they have the convention and bring it back to you at the start. They provide a free shuttle to and from sorrento center. Although the location of the property is cmq close to the center of sant agnello and the sea. The pool very clean and among other things you can stay there even after leaving the room until departure … in short, everything perfect … relaxing days. Hope to come back soon. Greetings to all.

This is a beautiful Hotel on a cute tree lined street. The staff was very welcoming and accommodating. The complimentary breakfast was beautiful and delicious!

Fantastic hotel and staff, who couldn’t be more helpful in every respect, from the receptionists, to the bar and dining room staff, to the housekeepers. Angelo in particular deserves a special mention — the perfect host. Great location — a nice walk (about 20 minutes) to the main town of Sorrento with a courtesy bus service for those who can’t walk it/don’t want to walk it/need to get there quicker. Highly recommended.

So many good things to say about this place. We have just returned from a wonderful 2 weeks and were made to feel like family by all the staff. Everything was fantastic from the pool, bar, restaurant, rooms and of course the amazing views. We would love to return again some day. Grazie ❤️

Simply beautiful! My travel buddies and I spent most evenings at this wonderful place. The staff were really accommodating, friendly and helpful. Absolutely delightful food and drink too. Totally in love with the Sorrento Limoncello Coffee! Much love for the complimentary drink ;-)

We stayed at this hotel for 12 nights for our honeymoon (after getting married in Rome) and it was incredible. The staff we amazing and helpful, and could not do do enough for us. We were upgraded to a beautiful sea view room with a large private balcony / terrace and they gave us complimentary champagne. Lovely touch! The staff were really helpful when we wanted to book tours (we did Amalfi by boat, Pompeii and Vesuvius and Capri — recommend all three). Breakfast was delicious, there was so much variety. We ordered room service on a couple of the nights which was lovely. There are brilliant resteraunts really close. There is a free shuttle bus into sorrento but we just walked most of the time — only 10/15 mins! Fantastic, we can’t wait to go back! Thank you Hotel Caravel for the most amazing honeymoon :)

The staff are so very helpful and friendly, nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are exceptionally clean and quiet.
There is a shuttle bus to take you onto Sorrento if you don’t fancy the 20 minute walk to the centre.
The food is the best I’ve ever tasted, with a large variety to choose from. The evening meal is waiter service, with a a delicious three course menu.
The pool area although small is well equipped, with plenty of sun beds and a very inviting pool.
The hotel has a very warm and friendly atmosphere, with amazing staff to cater to your every need. Highly recommended.

Great food, great staff, great service, just fabulous.

Spent a week at this lovely hotel in October and we’re we glad we stayed here! Sorrento was very busy and it was lovely to return to this oasis of calm each evening! We had a large double room and enjoyed a great sleep each night in peaceful surroundings.
The staff were very helpful and the courtesy bus was a wonderful asset. We are good walkers so it was a very easy 15 min walk to the centre. There are lovely local restaurants in the area as we like to eat out in the evenings.
The pool was so relaxing and we were blessed with wonderful weather.
Breakfast was very good a large choice the only downside in all of Italy is that as a tea drinker nobody seems to know how to make a decent cup of tea%! Water always just warm not boiled as it should be! Only a minor detail but please train staff has not everyone likes coffe in the am.
Well done to all will certainly recommend this lovely hotel to all our friends. Thankyou.

Lovely relaxed stay. Staff were lovely and friendly and very helpful. Quiet area so well placed for an easy 20 minute walk into Sorrento. The hotel shuttle bus service was excellent so it was easy to get to the centre. Would stay again.

We have just had a lovely relaxing 10 days at Hotel Caravel. The staff were all very friendly and the facilities were great. The food in the restaurant was very good with a wide choice for breakfast and dinner. The pool and pool are were kept very clean and tidy and there were always plenty of sun beds to choose from. It was great to have the courtesy bus service into Sorrento.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Caravel. The staff (particularly Angelo, Maria, Max, Enrico, the cleaning staff and receptionists) were fantastic — nothing was too much trouble. You would have to go a long way to beat the service. The room was spotless, the facilities very good and the cocktails and breakfasts particularly noteworthy. We would definitely stay again if returning to the Sorento area.

Spent 14 days at the Caravel and enjoyed every minute. The staff are fabulous, friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and we had a balcony that overlooked the pool area and Vesuvius in the distance. The food was excellent at breakfast and evening meal. Angelo was a pleasure to meet with his gallant greeting every day. The wait staff were also delightful to meet and helped make the holiday so wonderful. I must mention the bar staff Max, the beautifu Maria and Peppe, who were all fantastic and wonderful to chat to. The reception staff were the nicest I have had the pleasure to meet, especially Alessia. I would highly recommend this hotel and it's staff.

What a lovely hotel! Staff were absolutely amazing — in fact they helped make our holiday. Everyone we met, from reception staff, bar staff and waiting team were just lovely! Nothing was too much trouble and it really felt like they wanted you to have a great experience. Food was amazing! We had half board and we had a great choice of 3 courses every evening. Quite a small ‘family feel’ hotel. Rooms clean and comfortable — small bar area and pool but totally suitable for our needs. Some friends who went last year recommended it to us and we are glad they did. The free shuttle bus into town was brilliant and we used it a few times. It was only a 20 minute walk but the road was quite busy so we preferred to use the bus. Went as a family of four with a 16 and 20 year old and we all had a lovely holiday. Thanks to all the staff and a special mention to Toni and Angelo — lovely lovely people.

From the moment I walked into the hotel I felt relaxed. The staff were helpful and courteous and always with a smile. I especially liked the pool and the other outside relaxing and eating areas. The room was clean and comfortable but lacked cupboard enough space. I would definately return there and would highly recommend it. Lovely location a few minutes from the sea and free bus into the centre of town.

We have stayed here before and it was as we remembered, nice big room clean although no balcony which we do normally book for a week away. Good breakfast choices plenty of choices for evening meals. We would of liked a few more parasols around the pool. The only request we would like to make is as we were half board we would of liked lunch and not dinner some days. When booking we did read that smart casual dress was the order of the day for dinner in the evening which we like to see but we did find this was not up held and shorts and t-shirts were seen at dinner it's a shame as most people made an effort we would of liked to have seen these gentlemen asked to return in trousers.

Good location away from the crowds, but just a short 5 minute free bus ride takes you to the heart of Sorrento. Helpful, friendly and welcoming staff no more so than the exceptional restaurant team who go out of their way to please. Excellent choice of food catering for all tastes. Clean comfortable rooms. Well kept gardens and pool area. Superb views from the roof terraces. Perfect for couples.

Overall this is a very good hotel with excellent staff and very good food, especially the evening meals. The food quality was excellent at dinner with plenty of choice and the menu was not repeated for the whole two weeks of our holiday. The breakfast was not as extensive as some hotels but this is offset as the staff will make dishes to order if you request it. Perhaps a cooking station could be available at all times — a cooking station was set up on the day of our departure. The service in the restaurant was exceptional — Angelo is a character but runs a very efficient operation and has a very good team. The room cleaning was very efficient and the staff very friendly and pleasant. The room would benefit from blackout blinds or darker curtains as we were woken at dawn most mornings as the sun hit our room. We had plenty of storage but some of the refurbished rooms lacked drawer space. Reception staff were all helpful at all times and gave good local information about trips etc.

Hotel Caravel is very conveniently situated, with views of Mount Vesuvius from some bedrooms and hotel roof terraces. There is a varied choice for breakfast and dinner, with packed lunches if required. All the staff, without exception, were delightful, as previous reviews have echoed. Free Wi-Fi was very useful and there was no problem accessing a signal in addition to computer access in the lounge area. There was entertainment at night which was more suited to the mature holiday maker. Complimentary tea and coffee would be appreciated in the day and evening but this did not affect our enjoyment of the hotel.

The service at this hotel is the best I have ever seen. From the front desk to the dining room staff, everyone is always smiling and genuinely happy to see you. The rooms are spacious and clean. The location is a little ways from the center of town but the shuttle worked out just fine. A short walk down the hill at sunset is well worth it. I would definitely stay here again.

Just returned from a 14 night stay here would definitely stay again. Very clean, lovely room, great food. Just far enough out of Sorrento.
And the staff are fantastic, they made the holiday so special.

A wonderful stay. Excellent staff, very professional. Rooms were sparkling clean and the food (breakfast only) was delicious. Will return one day I hope. The shuttle to Sorrento was a major plus and the hotel is within walking distance to the train.

This is a really first class hotel. The staff could not be friendlier. The restaurant team are awesome with a special mention to Angelo & Francesca. The bar team are great, Max and Pepe, and all round we were very well looked after. The food is fantastic; beautifully presented, served and very well prepared with a good range of choice each evening. I really could not fault the restaurant side of things. Our room was first rate and as we stayed a second week we had an upgrade to a room with a good sized balcony. Magic. Virginia looked after our room for us each day and did a great job. The hotel is a 20 minute walk from Sorrento centre, but there is a regular free hotel bus shuttle in and out which worked spot on time whenever we used it. There is a pool if you wish to stay put. My only criticism is not the hotel's fault, but the Wi-Fi is not good though I am advised this is a general Sorrento issue. I stay in a lot of hotels across Europe throughout the year and this is one of the best. We plan to return in 2019.

We had a lovely stay at Hotel Caravel. All staff were so friendly, food was amazing and the room was very nice, the view was astonishing! We had no problems, however it would’ve been nice to have more than one plug socket in our room but that wasn’t much of an issue. We were very impressed with the meals and the politeness of the waiters and waitresses, Angelo and Francesca in particular. Would definitely recommend and I hope to stay there again in the future!

Lovely hotel, good selection at breakfast, cold meats, cheeses, fruit, cake, bread, cereal etc. Also hot food bacon etc. Some gluten free products available when requested. We had a room with a balcony which was nice to sit out on. Pleasant 25min walk to Sorrento but used hotel bus on several occasions. Hotel staff very friendly. Quieter than Sorrento and nice to eat in cafes/restauarants the locals use. Plenty around San't Agnello. We were very pleased with our choice of hotel. We had a lovely holiday. Thank you.

From the moment we arrived we were greeted with a smile and made to feel special. A delightful hotel, set in a quiet location serving fantastic food. Friendly staff happy to help, made our stay really enjoyable. One word sums up our experience… perfetto!

Loved this hotel. Staff are the best I have come across, can't do enough for you. Spotlessly clean. Nice pool, although very cold! About five minutes walk to the clifftops for great views, although there is also a rooftop terrace. There's a train station which connects to Sorrento in one direction and Naples in the other, within 20 minutes walk. The hotel do provide an infrequent free bus to sorrento. There is entertainment in the bar a few nights a week. Restaurant is great, although quite expensive if not included in your rate.

Pleasant hotel in the quieter outskirts of Sorrento. Clean room, with a large corner balcony with great views over the Bay of Naples and Vesuvius. Let down by dull pre-packed food at Dinner. To be fair, the starter was good, well presented and fresh. Mains were (I suspect) out of a packet, barely reheated tourist fodder. We thus only eat dinner there once.

We stayed at the caravel in August 2017. Fabulous location in st agnello just outside the hustle and bustle of sorrento 2 minutes walk to the beautiful sun decks by the sea at la marinella the hotel is so friendly all the staff are great the restruant manager angello was absolutely fabulous and all his staff so friendly and helpful great hotel no issues with sun beds around the pool and 2 fantastic roof top verandas to take in the sun and the fabulous views a fantastic holiday with a cortesy bus to take you into the beautiful sorrento night or day in 5 minutes thank you to the great staff at this friendly hotel and a big thumbs up for the chef the food is unbelievably fantastico hope to be back soon 10 out of 10!

We stayed at Hotel Caravel for two nights and it was excellent. Nice room with gorgeous view over the bay of Naples and Vesuvius. Comfortable pool area and also possible to get at discount voucher for the close by Lido/Beach Club. Great and helpful staff. The hotel offers a complimentary shuttle service to central Sorrento. Also, surprisingly good breakfast! We will for sure be coming back!
