We booked the room in October 2023. The day we arrived, in August 2024, the host came out of the building immediately saying something about 'booking. Com'. He explained that our booking on Expedia was not confirmed as he had closed the account, and left us stranded on the street with nowhere to stay, which was quite frightening! Obviously, somebody had offered him more money and he had not cancelled our booking. Expedia were fantastic and found a better hotel around the corner within 40 minutes. The host did not help at all. If you book this for a cheap price be careful, you will be cast aside for somebody willing to pay more. I cannot praise Expedia enough. They confirmed he had received payment and were not very happy. Avoid this booking!
Can't see how this place got a 91 percent. Not clean. Noisy. Smelly. Bed was good though.

If you are planning to book this property online, be prepared for a highly frustrating and possibly fraudulent experience. My booking was confirmed and paid for through the platform, but upon arrival, I was informed that the property that the owner should be 'no longer listed' and booking should have been impossible. The owner disclaimed all responsibility, didn't, 't gave me any room, insisting I resolve the matter with the booking platform. I was understanding and said this kind of issue might happen and booked another place. Once contacting my booking platform for refund, they said (after many exchange) that they can't proceed any refund because the owner do not reply to their calls and refuse to process the refund, so they are unable to pay me.
This seems to be a recurring issue, as noted in other reviews. The pattern indicates a deliberate exploitation of the system, where the owner benefits financially while leaving customers stranded and without recourse. While I acknowledge that booking platforms can be challenging for small business owners, this method of bypassing accountability ultimately harms customers and undermines trust in the hospitality sector.
Such practices not only inconvenience paying guests but also tarnish the reputation of genuine establishments. If this owner’s approach is an attempt to combat grievances with 'big tech, ' it is misplaced, as it targets consumers rather than corporations.
