With 40 Friends of Siena's bicycle, with whom I am doing a beautiful tour of the Sele aqueduct, we stayed at this hotel. Wonderfully welcoming people and a restaurant that offers with abounding local traditional dishes that define excellent is really little. From vegetable appetizers (crushed potatoes with peppers and onion, fresh beans from the eye, the wild cicorie and vegetables, the omelette of wild asparagus, the fragrant ricotta and more) to the first dishes (the fusilli and ravioli stuffed with ricotta that were divine and the exquisite "matasse" with chickpeas and peppers delicately fried) and again to the arista of soft pig, finally to the sweets with a triumphant ending of bitters. The hazelnut macaroons (of which the place is rich) are the result of historical contamination: when at the beginning of 900 began the work of the Sele aqueduct just a few steps from here the families of engineers and workers who came from Piedmont reinvented the amaretti made usually with almonds right with the local hazelnuts. A recipe that has remained to this day. In short, we had a great time and we highly recommend this place and this hotel restaurant of an Italy that combines identity and welcome, that Italy that today fortunately still exists outside the usual "routes".

Visited several times but always just as a restaurant. Excellent value for money, fresh and natural products, price on the contrary in the average recommended to those who are in those parts for a great lunch or dinner also wanting typical of the place.
