Purse was stolen from the suitcase in my room. Hotel in complete denial and state I am a liar despite the fact I am not. The fact they’ve done nothing and just denied everything says a lot about their professionalism. I’m disgusted and outraged with the hotel’s behavior at a customers’ time of need. There is no security at this hotel and they are completely unprofessional. Spent the last day of my trip at the police station reporting the theft from the hotel. Do you honestly think I would have run around frantic and wasted a whole day at the police station if it wasn’t stolen! My review is fact, true and my opinion. Dark and dated hotel with rude staff. Beware! The hotel state this thing has never happened before well, there’s always a first time isn’t there. The hotel was below par anyway and this just put the cherry on the cake. Give this hotel a miss.

I absolutely do not like writing these reviews. I hope that the management can reform how their staff treats outside patrons. I am very sad I had such a poor experience here. Although we didn’t stay here, my mother and friend were not happy at all with how we were treated. First we inquired about how we can get a car service or bus to the town of Amalfi since the weather wasn’t great and the water taxis were not available. The staff (I do mean all three associates at the front desk) were extremely vague and dismissive. When asked to at least point us in the right direction they finally explained they sold buss tickets there and we had to wait outside in the rain for it. At the end of our stay in a breathtaking bnb at the bottom of the cliff, we decided to come here for breakfast since our car service from Naples was picking us up here. Again, being treated like a huge inconvenience I took charge. I kindly told the front desk that the three of us were going to help ourselves to the dining area for breakfast. While we’re are enjoying our morning, they will hold onto our luggage (each of us only had one carry bag, not big) until we are finished with our meal. Not a smile or guide to the dining room, we walked across and helped ourselves. Our waiter was the only kind person in that entire building. Though it is a beautiful place and has a stunning view of the ocean, I would not recommend coming here.

Amazing food, amazing service! One of best on Amalfi.

Room fantastic with stunning views of the med. Staff friendly helpful and of very smart apperance. Food excellent with excellent choice of food for breakfast and a diferent menu every night in the main resturant. A little out of the way but we had our car. Busses are regular and cheap tickets available from main reception. If you book some nearby resturants they will pick you up and bring you back. Food and drinks at the pool is excelent with a good choice. Happy Paul and maryann prime.

Hotel extraordinarily located on the Amalfi coast.
The Junior Suite is spacious, with a sea-facing balcony with sofas and sunbeds. The bedding is comfortable, and a sofa allows for more space. The bathroom has an Italian-style shower with massage jets.
The pool is very well oriented throughout the day, with shade points as well as a catering service.
The restaurant is delicious, both at breakfast and dinner. The staff there are very nice and charming, quite English-speaking, and a bit of Francophonie among the waiters.
A very pleasant and relaxing weekend.

What an incredible hotel! The view was stunning to say the least. Hotel staff were wonderful and took great care of my husband and I. I have Celiac disease and they made the experience worry free and delicious! Very accommodating. Our room was spacious, clean and exquisite. The pool was the perfect temperature and we always had a place to relax. We highly recommend this hotel for anyone who is looking for great food, peace and quiet and close to nearby towns. No rat-race here. My favourite place in Italy. Thank you hotel staff for an incredible experience!

We stayed at Belvedere Hotel in July 2018. We found Belvedere on expedia. Before we arrived, they reached out to us letting us know they were there to help. They switched our room to a triple suite when we added a friend and booked a boat tour to Capri. When we arrived, Raffaele was there to welcome us. He confirmed our boat tour and showed us to our beautiful room. He also gave us some recommendations on transportation and restaurants. Very helpful, thanks! We were able to enjoy the salt water pool, pool bar, and rocky beach. We also swam in the sea right off of the hotel beach. Incredible. The views from the hotel and our room terrace were beautiful. There are restaurants near Conca dei Marini or you can drive ten minutes to Amalfi. You can also take a bus depending on the time. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast which was good. The room was clean, beautiful, and had plenty of room for three. Overall, this was a highlight of our trip to Italy. *Our private car drivers seemed less than thrilled to drive us to and from the train station. Shockingly, the other receptionists wouldn’t call us a taxi one evening (luckily we had a #) and weren’t as friendly. It would be helpful to provide a written explanation of transportation into Amalfi (times, bus stop, directions). This would eliminate confusion. Due to the lack of this, we got lost one afternoon which was very frustrating.

A wonderful hotel with very friendly staff. Beyond praise. Cleanliness, attentiveness, hospitality, a great restaurant, everything is fine. Thank you for a wonderful holiday, thanks to your attention.

This is a wonderful hotel run by lovely attentive people who understand the meaning of service. Lovely food. Lovely rooms. Views to die for. We honeymooned here and they made it very special for us xx.

Friendly staff and what an amazing pool! Dinner was excellent and so was the breakfast.

Really enjoyed our stay here, pool and small private access to the sea is great. Really nice to get picked up there in a small boat for trip to blue lagoon and Capri.

I wish I could give this hotel more stars. It was an amazing experience! I think what made it amazing was the professional wait staff and service at the restaurant. (the food was also amazing). We had a large terrace off our room and were greeted with a bottle of champagne in our room. I would come back here again and again. Thank you!

EXCELLENT VIEWS! you will not be disappointed by the views and the staff was helpful. While you are not within walking distance to any of the 'larger' towns on the coast there is a bus stop right out front of the hotel. Not 5 stars in my eyes as the food was not terrific and the rooms are old. Yes, I know it is an older area/hotel but bed and pillows were not very comfy and rooms are noise where you can hear folks above and next to you.

I would have given 5 star, because the hotel, the reception rooms drinks Etc were 5 star, but the receptionist was a bit surley.

Lovely family-run hotel, most of the staff have been here for years. I say that in a good way, they seem genuinely delighted to see us again.

We stayed here for 3 days in August. It was so good that we tacked on another day. Here are a couple of things we loved. The pool and water view and access is some of the best in Amalfi. The pool overhangs the ocean and is gorgeous. You can also walk down and take a plunge in the ocean. All very private and well done. The people are nice and accommodating. I don't understand the reviews about people being rude. Everyone was helpful and thoughtful. Some minor quirks like reserving spots by the pool but that is the hotel catering to its guests. It should not stop anyone from visiting as we were treated well. The staff are friendly and courteous. The food is amazing. Dining room can be hard to find but the views are worth it. Some of the pictures I posted are shot out the room or dinner. You won't find a better view or meal. Prices are fair for the area and competitive. You should come here if you want to experience a nice balance of Old World Italia and modern conveniences. This place is not a spa and it shouldn't be judged as such. We loved our visit and plan to return.

Beautiful place cozy and family atmosphere. A paradise.

From arrival the team were friendly and nothing was too much trouble, the location and views are stunning, the rooms are clean and well kept, the pool is clean and the poolside service very welcome indeed! The parking is great, and the whole hotel and team exude the feeling of saying "relax, we know how to look after you" brilliant!

Great place to stay, very warm welcome, comfortable rooms, clean seawater pool with private beach, easy parking, fantastic breakfast on the terrace with sea view, lovley staff & boss. Perfect place for sigthseeing to amalfi, positano, ravello, capri, sorrent, pompai, vesuv etc. In all: a very traditional place in the old style for those who really appreciate this, we certainly did. We'll come back again.

Unprofessional and rude staff. Overpriced place. Sure they have a nice view but so many other (better) hotels in the Costiera. Look somewhere else!

This is our 2nd year. We come all the way from Texas. Belvedere is not just a hotel, but a place where they treat you like family. Always accommodate special wishes and the staff is just wonderful. Love the pool and the people that stay here. We made friends for life.
