Nice rooms! But could use some updating. A bit of broken things like the shower head holder or some outlets but its still a good room for the price and location! The wine bar at the ground floor is also the cutest on the whole street!

We didn’t find this place until a couple of days into our stay in Scilla, after that we visited almost every day. Everything we tried was delicious, from the coffee to the cocktails, fantastic menu selection, definitely recommend the charcuterie and share plates… and some of the best service we received in all of Italy from the helpful friendly staff.

Well located bar with good food bites. Good Wi-Fi. Welcoming staff, so we came couple of times.
Only downside is that we paid 5€ for a Fanta instead of an orange pressed juice and even though the waitress obviously understood the mistake afterwards the payment, she left us leave without proposing to fix this mistake.

Great wine, great food and amazing service. We were here in the off season and felt so welcome. The staff were so kind and gave us very nice wine for a very reasonable price (we were on a budget). We enjoyed it so much we came back the next night as well!

We had breakfast and aperó here twice. The staff are kind and patient and make great recommendations. Nice selection of wine by the glass.

There aren’t enough stars to review our handful of visits to Casa Vela. We will forever recall the welcome and kindness of management and staff. I also had the absolute best Bergomontte Spritz there! My husband loved their local craft beer selection. The food was DELICIOUS! An Italian dream sitting at tables on the tiny cobblestone street watching life happen in the fishing villlage. From Atlanta we will dream of the moments we spent dining and drinking at Casa Vela!

Reviewing the wine bar, not the accommodations. Stopped in for a couple drinks pre dinner. Nice outside seating with peek a boo sea view. Great wine and beer list. Cocktails and light snacks available as well. Very reasonably priced.

Didn't stay but food music view atmosphereand was the best not sea view bet excellent for people watching.

Great place for breakfast coffee and croissants. Also spent two evenings sitting outside drinking the excellent local Greco wine from Lamezia vineyards. The tasting board was also delicious. You must try the bergamot I fused honey on the local cheeses! Very friendly and attentive staff.

Stayed four nights at the penthouse. Nice big apartment and the view from the terrace is amazing. Quite well equipped but kitchen utensils need some updating. A big plus for the washing machine. Cleaning is very good and the staff is very helpful and nice. Be aware that the nearest supermarket is an uphill walk for approx 20 minutes.

What a lovely and unexpected place in Scilla! We were looking for a shop with a typical calabrese products and that’s how we got there. Delicious food and a great selection of wines from the region. And absolutely outstanding hospitality of Signora Barbara! Thank you 🙏
